Li Tiansheng
Li Tiansheng is a sinister-looking Wildlands chosen who joins the coordinated hunt for Bai Xiaochun in the Necromancer Kettle and later suffers a public retaliatory shakedown. (Chapters 688–790)
Biography
From Hunter to Hostage of Reputation
Li Tiansheng enters the Necromancer Kettle as a late-Nascent-Soul expert and allies with Zhou Hong and other chosen to kill the apparently isolated Bai Hao. He contributes poison techniques to the pursuit and later resents how Bai's growing power prevents further open attacks. Once Bai becomes inspections commissioner, that history gives him political as well as personal leverage. Bai marches corpse troopers to the Li Clan, drains Li Tiansheng's life force, and removes the clan's wealth while Li suppresses his anger and smiles to survive. His composure makes Bai more cautious, but it does not restore Li's freedom of action: the humiliation becomes a warning that causes other chosen and their clans to forbid direct confrontation. Appearance and personality
Li has a sinister appearance that makes Bai uncomfortable even before they fight. He is aggressive and resentful when protected by a group, but possesses enough self-control to smile through the destruction of his clan's wealth when resistance would be fatal. His concealed killing intent remains unresolved at his last mention. (Chapters 688, 742, 763–766, and 790)
Abilities and cultivation
Li is a late-Nascent-Soul chosen. He releases five-colored toxic gas that forms five cackling skulls capable of minor teleportation, allowing the attack to pursue a moving target. The corpus does not explain the poison's exact physiological effect, duration, or antidote, and it gives no later advancement after Bai weakens him. (Chapters 691 and 763–766)
Relationships
- Bai Xiaochun: Former quarry who reverses their power relationship and makes Li's punishment an example to the Wildlands elite.
