Lei Shan

Lei Shan is a leading Profound Stream Sect body-refinement chosen whose corpse is later converted into an exceptionally durable puppet controlled by Ghostmother. The puppet's deeds do not establish continued agency by the original Lei Shan. (Chapters 142–167 and 819–827)

Biography

Chosen Career and Posthumous Weaponization

As the Profound Stream Sect's strongest young cultivator after Nine-Isles, Lei Shan enters the Fallen Sword Abyss with a reputation for surviving a seven-day pursuit by a Foundation Establishment cultivator. He seeks strong opponents and fights Beihan Lie to a standstill, but the corpus does not narrate the later battle in which he dies. Long afterward, Bai Xiaochun recognizes his body among Ghostmother's servants. The corpse has been greatly strengthened and attacks without reacting to damage, forcing Mistress Red-Dust and Bai to expend major techniques before Bai kills it. Ghostmother subsequently refers to needing Lei Shan for her plan, confirming his use as a controlled component rather than a willing later alliance. (Chapters 142–167 and 819–827)

Appearance and personality

The living Lei Shan is a burly, muscular young man surrounded by lightning and flame. He smiles viciously, radiates killing intent, and shows excitement toward unexplained power, though he can avoid an encounter when he cannot identify the threat. The reanimated body's black-lit eyes and animal-like growl should not be treated as evidence of his original personality. (Chapters 142–147 and 819–827)

Abilities and cultivation

Lei Shan is a body-refinement cultivator associated with a Lightningflame Profound Clone, a suspected Firespirit body, and extraordinary healing; the “suspected” bloodline remains an in-world assessment rather than confirmation. His living endurance lets him survive stronger pursuit and match Beihan Lie. As a corpse puppet he becomes far more durable and seemingly indifferent to injury, but that increase comes through unexplained postmortem modification and Ghostmother's control.
