Chen Haosong
Chen Haosong is an Arch-Emperor Dynasty heavenly duke whose clan dominates a large part of the eastern city borough. His rank and great-circle Deva cultivation make him one of the Wildlands' senior nobles, though Bai Xiaochun's rise eventually eclipses him. (Chapters 728–848, 989, and 995)
Biography
A heavenly duke opposed to Bai Hao
Chen Haosong first enters the narrative through the threat of his authority after a junior from his faction clashes with Bai's Bai Hao identity. The Giant Ghost King warns that if Chen uses status to bully Bai, he will answer in kind. In Arch-Emperor City, Chen's clan occupies nearly half a borough and centers on a towering heavenly-duke pagoda, demonstrating the institutional power behind his title. Chen becomes one of the senior figures Bai expects to challenge or resent his expanding influence. (Chapters 728–843)
After Bai is revealed and elevated, Chen and other powerful experts recognize that Bai Hao and Bai Xiaochun are different people. Bai Hao's soul remembers Chen's earlier disrespect and proposes retaliation, but the corpus does not document such punishment. Later comparisons place Chen in the great circle of the Deva Realm while showing that newer powers have surpassed him. He is alive at his last mention. (Chapters 846–848, 989, and 995)
Appearance and personality
The corpus does not preserve a reliable detailed physical description. Chen is presented through rank, clan power, and a willingness to exert pressure through subordinates; direct evidence of his private motives remains limited. (Chapters 728–843)
Abilities and cultivation
Chen is a great-circle deva and therefore among the strongest heavenly dukes. No named technique or complete combat sequence centered on him appears in the selected evidence, so more specific powers should not be inferred from title alone. (Chapters 728, 989, and 995)
Relationships
- Bai Xiaochun: Political antagonist during Bai's Wildlands ascent, though the Giant Ghost King's protection limits Chen's ability to act against him. (Chapters 728–848)
- Giant Ghost King: A king willing to counter Chen's status directly when defending Bai. (Chapter 728)
