Soo-Gyeom is introduced as Yu-Rin's former direct apprentice of two years and represents a group congratulating her promotion to Highest Tier. He helps choose expensive custom-painted gauntlets, reacts shyly when she pats his head, and later comforts her during Raven's commercial setbacks. Because his father is a judge and his uncle is a senior Wizards' Association official, Yu-Rin also asks him to investigate rumors around the Goblin Alchemist, making him both a junior combatant and an informal source of information.
