Zhen Ling Meng

Biography

Documented arc

Zhen Ling Meng enters the Totem Coliseum with Nie Chen and Tan Xu as one of Kun Lun's elite Children of Kun Lun. Their mission is to obtain the nucleus of the ancient shen device, and she separates from the others to cultivate and search the ruins. (Chapters 781–796)

In the Rain Hall, she deduces that a hidden treasure sustains the hall and obtains the Rain Commanding Banner. She recognizes that it requires shen power to refine, but her examination is interrupted when Tenth Grade attacks. (Chapters 796–801)

Zhen Ling Meng uses layered sword defenses and initially fights Tenth Grade to a standstill. Seeing Nie Chen killed by Zuo Mo shatters her concentration; Tenth Grade presses the advantage, breaks through her sword energies with the Hundred Sacrificial Soul Killing Sword, and kills her. Kun Lun later confirms the deaths of all three team members. (Chapters 801–805)

Appearance and personality

The source gives no physical description. Zhen Ling Meng is quiet and disciplined enough to leave the group for cultivation without ceremony, and she has the analytical skill to locate the Rain Hall's treasure. She is accustomed to protection and deference within Kun Lun, however, and anger over damage to her talisman and shock at Nie Chen's death both disrupt her judgment in battle. (Chapters 781–804)

Abilities and cultivation

As a Child of Kun Lun, she is an elite shen-power-era talent and a highly skilled sword cultivator. She can release a powerful cold sword energy and form twelve crossed layers of sword essence into a secure defensive barrier. Tenth Grade matches her sword-essence skill, and her defense collapses only after fear and grief break her focus. The source does not name a personal sword scripture of her own. (Chapters 801, 804)

Relationships

Nie Chen and Tan Xu are her fellow Children of Kun Lun and mission partners. Tenth Grade is the opponent who kills her, while Zuo Mo's killing of Nie Chen creates the opening in their duel. Kun Lun's later response notes that many disciples liked Zhen Ling Meng. (Chapters 781–805)

Items

The Rain Commanding Banner is the ancient treasure she finds in the Rain Hall and begins handling, though she has not completed its required shen-power refinement before the battle. The Bagua Heart Protection Mirror is a gift from her master that blocks Tenth Grade's surprise attack but cracks at the edge. She also uses a flying sword whose personal name is not stated. (Chapters 796–801)
