Yu Zi Zhou

Biography

Documented arc

Yu Zi Zhou was the Jade Clan's leading young genius and had once declined Ming Yue Ye's invitation to the Genius Alliance's Elder Council so he could concentrate on cultivation. He pursued Ji Li Yu and entered Xiao Mo Ge's prison battlefield partly because of her, initially regarding the unknown challenger as a clown unworthy of serious attention. (Chapters 379–385)

The fire presence surrounding Xiao Mo Ge forced Yu Zi Zhou to defend himself as soon as he entered. He opened with his strongest defense, Interconnected Jade Rings, but the opponent's golden power rapidly corroded every ring. Humiliation drove Yu to commit all his consciousness and strength to an unfinished counter, after which his manifested body exploded and his consciousness suffered serious injury. (Chapters 382–385)

Unable to release his hatred, Yu Zi Zhou used his relationship with his uncle Yu Heng, commander of the Heavy Earth Corps, to obtain a draft notice for Xiao Mo Ge. He celebrated the apparent trap as an unwinnable choice for his enemy, but public reporting exposed the personal motive and turned a military conscription into a scandal during a sensitive wartime period. (Chapters 403–405)

The scandal transformed Yu Zi Zhou from an admired genius into a social outcast. Teachers pitied him, acquaintances avoided him, and even his closest friend pretended not to see him; Yu Heng publicly defended the corps but privately condemned his nephew's small-minded stupidity, then sent Yu far away when the controversy continued to damage Heavy Earth Corps. (Chapters 405–407)

Appearance and personality

Yu Zi Zhou carries himself with elegance and relaxed pride until defeat twists his features with humiliation. He is talented, cultivation-focused, and capable of recognizing dangerous power, but also arrogant, possessive in his pursuit of Ji Li Yu, and vindictive enough to misuse his family connection after losing face.

Abilities and cultivation

As a Jade Clan yao, Yu Zi Zhou has natural resistance to fire and strong consciousness. Interconnected Jade Rings is his ultimate defense: rings of light multiply as others are destroyed, allowing the barrier to absorb sustained attacks. Xiao Mo Ge's unfamiliar golden power corrodes the system faster than it can recover. Yu begins a technique with the words “Jade Born,” but the attack is interrupted before its effect is established and should not be assigned a completed feat.
