Xiao Guo

Xiao Guo is a timid but persistent junior disciple of Wu Kong Sword Sect. She begins by caring for Eastern Peak's ling fields and animals, grows into an inner disciple through sustained practice, and preserves her loyalty to her Wu Kong companions through displacement, captivity, and reunion.

Biography

From the Eastern Peak fields to inner discipleship

Xiao Guo first approaches Zuo Mo because weeds are overwhelming Eastern Peak's ling fields and threatening the grass needed for its animals. Frightened and close to tears, she nevertheless speaks for the other women and helps bring Li Ying Feng to a practical solution. Her early responsibilities include tending Green Sword grass and caring for A Bao, a golden-horned ox. These scenes establish a pattern that remains more important than her timidity: when people and living things depend on her, she asks for help and continues the work rather than withdrawing from it. Zuo Mo encourages Xiao Guo to become strong enough to protect the other disciples and gives her a training scroll. She struggles, cries, and persists until she can release sword energy through her own cultivation instead of relying on the golden sword ring that previously aided her. She places first in the sect's improvement assessment, reaches zhuji, and enters Shi Feng Rong's branch as an inner disciple. Zuo Mo gives her the Blue Flower sword scripture, a soft, yin-oriented method suited to women, while Shi Feng Rong later reports that Xiao Guo's talent is limited but her hard work has brought her close to ningmai and qualifies her for experience managing affairs in Sky Moon City. Captivity and reunion in Great Peace City

After Zuo Mo is presumed lost, Xiao Guo, Li Ying Feng, and Luo Li do not simply accept the sect's treatment of him. Kun Lun later forces Wu Kong's ordinary disciples into a delaying action, abandons them, and leaves the survivors vulnerable to capture. Xiao Guo and Li Ying Feng eventually enter Princess Xia's custody. Their survival does not imply that they could resist the powers controlling them; when they encounter a high-level domain during their escape, Xiao Guo's cultivation is explicitly too low to withstand it without protection. Princess Xia turns the two women over to a disguised Zuo Mo in Great Peace City. Xiao Guo recognizes him through his voice and manner despite his changed face, then breaks down and embraces the shixiong she believed dead. Zuo Mo carries both women out of the hostile domain, after which Xiao Guo remains with Li Ying Feng and Luo Li. Her last direct scenes place her beside Luo Li through his dangerous Life-Death Lock transformation. She is alive at that point, but the corpus does not provide a later office, cultivation breakthrough, or final destination for her. (Chapters 610–644)

Appearance and personality

Xiao Guo is introduced as a small, adorable girl with an apple-shaped face and large eyes that easily fill with tears. Her bashfulness makes formal conversation difficult, especially when she is being praised or thanked. Later passages concentrate on her emotional recognition of old companions rather than describing any major physical change. (Chapters 10–12, 63, 610–612)

She is timid, sensitive, and openly emotional, but these traits do not prevent endurance. Xiao Guo practices through frustration, accepts responsibility for other junior disciples, cleans Zuo Mo's unattended yard, and remains beside endangered sect companions. Abilities and cultivation

Xiao Guo begins with practical experience caring for ling grass, ling fields, and sect animals. Her sword training initially depends on a golden sword ring, but by Chapter 57 she can emit sword energy through her own cultivation. She reaches zhuji before becoming Shi Feng Rong's disciple and is close to ningmai by Chapter 167. No later realm is stated, and the source does not document her winning a serious battle. The Blue Flower sword scripture is described as yin and soft, making it a suitable path for a female disciple, but Xiao Guo's later mastery of it is not shown. Her advancement comes primarily from persistence, and Shi Feng Rong explicitly distinguishes her diligence from natural talent. The Great Peace City domain also provides a firm limit: her cultivation is insufficient to resist that environment without Zuo Mo carrying and protecting her. (Chapters 111, 167, 610–612)

Relationships

Zuo Mo

Zuo Mo is Xiao Guo's senior sect brother, role model, and teacher outside formal lineage. He solves Eastern Peak's crisis, gives her tools and a training method, and tells her to become strong enough to protect others. She tends his yard after his departure, refuses to forget him when he is presumed dead, and recognizes him years later beneath a different appearance. Their reunion confirms that her loyalty is attached to the person rather than his face or public identity. (Chapters 10–13, 57, 111, 167, 277, 610–612)

Li Ying Feng

Li Ying Feng protects Xiao Guo as an elder sister and initially confronts Zuo Mo because she thinks he has mistreated her. Before entering the inner sect, Li Ying Feng arranges support for Xiao Guo and the Eastern Peak disciples. The two women later survive captivity together and are rescued together, with Xiao Guo's emotional openness complementing Li Ying Feng's more forceful manner. (Chapters 10–21, 570, 610–612)

Shi Feng Rong and Luo Li

Shi Feng Rong accepts Xiao Guo as her second disciple and values the effort that carries her beyond modest natural talent. Luo Li is another Wu Kong companion rather than a documented romantic attachment. After their rescue, Xiao Guo and Li Ying Feng remain near him while he is incapacitated and as his Life-Death Lock transformation reaches its conclusion. (Chapters 111, 167, 627–644)
