Shou Ping accompanies Ceng Lian'er and the Celestial Planet Guard after they join Zuo Mo's party. Initially proud of a battalion considered elite in its home region, he is shaken by Guard Camp's discipline, constant cultivation, and killing energy. When the blood pool transports the group elsewhere, his caution returns quickly: he notices that the familiar market has vanished, surrounds Ceng Lian'er protectively, and warns that their situation is wrong. (Chapter 560)

The unfamiliar territory reveals the limits behind his rank. Shou Ping is a battle general without substantial experience of real war, and Zuo Mo assesses the massed green yaksha more practically than he does. Although he dislikes taking orders from someone so young, he obeys for Ceng Lian'er's sake, explains Tao Xing's importance, and watches the Celestial Planet Guard grow impressed by Zuo Mo's audacity. Exposure to Zuo Mo's forces gradually changes his conduct. After Miao Jun uses the Celestial Planet Guard in training and its soldiers complain, Ceng Lian'er dismisses their excuses; Shou Ping responds by punishing the complainers and personally leading harder cultivation. When thieves later steal the unit's mo steeds, his shame and competitive pride again drive him to intensify training rather than abandon responsibility. (Chapters 598, 615)

Ceng Lian'er ultimately transfers the Celestial Planet Guard to Zuo Mo and orders the execution of anyone who disobeys. Shou Ping does not resist or equivocate: he immediately and respectfully accepts Zuo Mo's command. His last direct scene therefore leaves him alive, still attached to the unit, but serving under a new commander. (Chapter 627)

Appearance and personality

The narrative does not give Shou Ping a detailed physical description. He is proud, loyal to the Ceng family, cautious about Ceng Lian'er's safety, and prone to anxious or comic reactions when faced with forces far above his experience. His pride is not static: embarrassment repeatedly becomes motivation to improve his soldiers and himself. (Chapters 560–561, 598, 615)

Abilities and cultivation

Shou Ping is recognized as a silver battle general and can command, supervise, and secure a regional guard battalion. He has useful situational awareness, recognizes important local figures, and understands military organization. However, his title initially exceeds his battlefield experience, and both his practical judgment and his unit's discipline are clearly below Zuo Mo's veteran forces. No named personal combat technique is shown. (Chapters 560–562)

Relationships

Ceng Yi regards Shou Ping as a trusted right-hand subordinate, while Shou Ping treats Ceng Lian'er as the superior he must protect and obey. He initially resents Zuo Mo's authority but becomes more compliant after seeing his strength and hearing Ceng Lian'er's orders. Miao Jun's training and Guard Camp's example provide the standards against which he reforms the Celestial Planet Guard. (Chapters 560–562, 577, 598, 627)

Items

No named personal weapon, armor, or talisman is assigned to Shou Ping. The mo steeds stolen from his yard belong to the Celestial Planet Guard as a unit rather than being identified as his personal property. (Chapter 615)
