Shi Yue Yi

Shi Yue Yi is Shi Zi Ming's student and successor as master of Great Peace City. Unable to cultivate mo skills himself, he preserves the city's authority through judgment, hospitality, and the loyalty earned by his teacher, then spends his life to keep its survivors behind a final defensive curtain.

Biography

Great Peace City and Mo Cloud Sea

Shi Yue Yi inherits responsibility for Great Peace City after Shi Zi Ming's death and retains the respect of experts once guided by his teacher. At his banquet, he continues the original Granny Meng Ghost Wine recipe and quietly watches for the unusual guests it reveals, correctly recognizing the danger around Shen Yu and Xiao Mo Ge. When warned that Kun Lun seeks the Treasure Pavilion, he accepts that its contents should follow fate but refuses to let a xiuzhe sect seize them, helping organize the city's response and creating the Star Luring Mo Ball for the deception. After the city is ruined and the Ming Bandits arrive, he activates the citywide matrices Shi Zi Ming built. The black-sea curtain holds for three days, while Shi Yue Yi ages rapidly, apologizes to his teacher, and becomes a lifeless grey-white stone figure. (Chapters 601–609, 614, 616–619, and 628)

Appearance and personality

Because Shi Yue Yi has never cultivated a mo skill, age remains visible in his face: his hair hangs naturally in grey-white strands and faint wrinkles mark his features. His intelligent eyes seem able to penetrate mist and hearts, and his gentle smile helps him control an otherwise chaotic banquet. At death, his body resembles a pale grey-white statue. He is observant, restrained, hospitable, and notably free of possessiveness toward the Treasure Pavilion. His loyalty is instead to his teacher's legacy and the city's independence. The decision to power the final defense shows both devotion and guilt: he regards the city's destruction as a failure before Shi Zi Ming even as he saves those still inside it. Abilities and cultivation

Shi Yue Yi explicitly never cultivated a mo skill and is not shown as a direct combatant. His strengths are perception, political legitimacy, and practical planning: he reads participants at the banquet, identifies signs of Reversed Stellar Revolution and fire deviation, coordinates leading experts, and personally creates the Star Luring Mo Ball used to imitate a falling star and trigger the stele illusion. (Chapters 601, 603–607, and 616–619)

He can activate Great Peace City's large defensive matrices and raise a black-sea water curtain, but Shi Zi Ming—not Shi Yue Yi—built those matrices. The defense lasts only three days and exacts Shi Yue Yi's life, making it a sacrificial use of inherited infrastructure rather than evidence that he possesses personal battle cultivation. • Shi Zi Ming: Shi Yue Yi is his student and successor. He preserves his teacher's wine recipe and city, activates the matrices Shi Zi Ming left behind, and addresses him in apology as he dies. (Chapters 601–602 and 628)
• Great Peace City's ranked experts: Many remain in the city because Shi Yue Yi or his teacher once guided them. Their respect supplies the protection his lack of personal cultivation cannot. (Chapter 601)
• Zuo Mo / Xiao Mo Ge: Shi Yue Yi studies him at the banquet, later trusts his warning about Kun Lun, and makes the Star Luring Mo Ball that supports his plan. (Chapters 603–607 and 616–619)
