Qing Xiao

Qing Xiao is the last survivor of a Greenvine Tribe branch trapped in the Summer Palace. Zuo Mo fulfills Qing Lin's last request by finding him, passing on Greenvine inheritances, and taking him out of the dying forest. Ten years in the endless void turn the once-inexperienced boy into a powerful but still developing fighter and teacher.

Biography

Discovery in the Summer Palace

Qing Xiao has lived alone in the Summer Palace forest after wish power in the sunlight gradually kills every other member of his branch. Their ancestors had settled there to guard the forest for the Totem Coliseum's master and survived the Battle of the Sealed Extinction because the palace closed, but the master's disappearance also removed the person who periodically drew the harmful wish power from their bodies. Qing Xiao's childhood resistance delays the same fate rather than preventing it; the narrative estimates that, without intervention, he would die within twenty years and the forest would disappear with him. Zuo Mo finds Qing Xiao because the Greenvine Shen Methodology lets him sense a familiar presence in the forest. Their matching shen power immediately eases the boy's wariness. After learning that Qing Xiao is alone, Zuo Mo removes the accumulated wish power, gives him Qing Lin's Greenvine Mystical Water, and places the Green Pulse String on his wrist. The rescue therefore does more than extract him from danger: it joins the last living descendant of the Summer Palace branch to the inheritance Qing Lin had entrusted to Zuo Mo, while Qing Xiao's knowledge of the forest gives the whole group a route to its edge. The endless void and the Nether Realm

Qing Xiao survives the destruction of the Central Plains with Zuo Mo, Silly Bird, and the little ones, then spends ten years crossing the endless void. He could not survive that environment alone, but protection from his companions, Zuo Mo's teaching, and repeated battles against stronger creatures make him exceptionally resistant and experienced under pressure. When they emerge in the Nether Realm, he appears about twenty years old and is strong enough to defeat Tuoba Yu and five hundred riders head-on in one move. His vine wall wins because it absorbs the gathered sword strike, continuously regrows where cut, expands around the charging formation, and then restrains and crushes its momentum rather than trying to outmatch the attack as a single rigid barrier. Zuo Mo later assigns Qing Xiao to teach ten Wu clan youths. Qing Xiao is serious and uses demonstrations and real combat, but his limited understanding of nether shen power makes his initial instruction ineffective for students formed by a different methodology; Zuo Mo must revise their own Wu Ge Shen Methodology instead. Qing Xiao responds with harsher practical training and continues the assignment even in the death-filled environment he dislikes. His last direct scene has him unhappily accepting Zuo Mo's order to stay behind, teach the Wu clan, and wait while Zuo Mo enters the death eye, leaving Qing Xiao alive but separated from the expedition. Appearance and personality

At about fifteen, Qing Xiao has black-opal eyes, tanned skin, and clothes woven from forest vines. After ten years in the endless void, he has grown and looks about twenty; the corpus does not add a detailed adult description of his clothing, build, or facial features. (Chapters 808 and 852)

Qing Xiao is lively, clever, innocent, and quick to trust people who show genuine kindness. He wants to emulate Zuo Mo and Wei Sheng, obeys Zuo Mo even when he does not understand or like an order, and has a simple confidence in his elder brother's power. He likes sunny, bright places and dislikes the death-filled Ten Thousand Tombs, yet accepts the depressing environment when it helps Zuo Mo recover. In battle he is courageous and competitive, while as a teacher he is earnest but inexperienced and inclined to turn instruction into endurance training when explanation fails. Abilities and cultivation

Qing Xiao inherits the Greenvine Shen Methodology and has unusually pure greenvine shen power, strengthened by the Greenvine Mystical Water and Zuo Mo's guidance. The corpus does not name his precise cultivation realm. At first, his power is impressive but he is described as a deadweight in battle; ten years later, harsh experience has made him a capable independent combatant in ordinary environments, though the narrative still states that he could not survive the endless void alone. The Green Pulse String responds to him as a natural Greenvine user. He can launch its hair-thin line to bind and pull a hidden person, spread it into a vast living wall, channel shen power through it, and cause damaged vines to bud and regrow faster than an incoming attack can destroy them. Against Tuoba Yu, regeneration converts defense into enclosure: once the combined strike fades, the wall continues expanding until it covers and restrains the riders. This technique demands sustained shen power, and the wall initially nears collapse under the force of five hundred soldiers before Qing Xiao commits without reserve. (Chapters 808–809, 852, and 858)

His growth is practical rather than complete. Battles in the void teach him to endure stronger opponents and act while disadvantaged, but Zuo Mo's protection remains essential there. Likewise, Qing Xiao can demonstrate a shen methodology and train students through combat, yet his lack of understanding of nether shen power prevents him from adapting the underlying theory to the Wu clan's existing cultivation without Zuo Mo's correction. Relationships

• Zuo Mo: Qing Xiao calls Zuo Mo Big Brother and accepts him as rescuer, teacher, and leader. Zuo Mo removes the wish power harming him, transfers Qing Lin's inheritance, protects him in the Summer Palace and endless void, and later entrusts him with the Wu clan's training. Qing Xiao responds with loyalty, concern for Zuo Mo's injuries, and obedience even when ordered to remain behind. (Chapters 808–812, 851–858, 862, 865, and 874)
• Qing Lin and the Greenvine Tribe: Qing Xiao never meets Qing Lin in the supplied chapters, but he is the descendant through whom Qing Lin's request and tribe's inheritance continue. Zuo Mo briefly asks to use it in Chapter 812 to retrieve an object without stepping onto a dangerous stage, but the item is again on Qing Xiao's wrist by Chapter 852 and remains his principal weapon through the Nether Realm battles.
