Pang Chen is a famous general-level warrior with years of battle experience and a reputation for having lasted thirty moves against Qi Diao Yu. Bu Heng pays him to challenge Xiao Mo Ge, and Pang Chen accepts while boasting to Hua Ning that he will win within ten moves. (Chapters 573–574)
He refuses to begin with a sneak attack and instead fights openly. Xiao Mo Ge's first punch overwhelms his defenses, but Pang Chen survives and breaks through under the pressure, greatly strengthening his final Twisting Python Pounce. Xiao Mo Ge's second punch still destroys him, leaving him dead in the arena. (Chapter 575)
News of the two-punch victory spreads immediately and later references treat Pang Chen's death as an established measure of Xiao Mo Ge's strength. These later mentions add no further personal history. (Chapters 576–584)
Appearance and personality
He is powerfully muscled, with the physical bearing of a seasoned fighter. Pang Chen is proud, confident, and given to public bravado, especially before Hua Ning, but his refusal to ambush his opponent also shows a preference for a direct contest. He remains resilient enough to turn a near-immediate defeat into a breakthrough. (Chapters 573–575)
Abilities and cultivation
Pang Chen is a general-level mo who cultivates the Twisting Python mo physique. Python Twist Flick dissipates incoming force, Snake Tongue Arrow provides a sudden deceptive strike, and Twisting Python Pounce concentrates his body's strength into a decisive attack. His breakthrough makes the final pounce vastly stronger, but it does not overcome Xiao Mo Ge's superior punch. (Chapter 575)
Relationships
Bu Heng is his employer for the challenge. Hua Ning is the woman he is pursuing and the audience for his boast. Qi Diao Yu is a famous former opponent who defeated him, while Xiao Mo Ge is the opponent who kills him. The source establishes no family or lasting factional tie. (Chapters 573–575)
