Nanmen Xue is a leading Great Peace City expert whose apparently idle life conceals both formidable power and a private effort to save the person he loves. That need draws him into a transaction involving the Great Peace Treasure Pavilion and makes his challenge to Xiao Mo Ge part of another party's scheme.

Great Peace City and Mo Cloud Sea

Nanmen Xue remains in Great Peace City out of gratitude to Shi Yue Yi, whose guidance has earned the loyalty of the city's foremost experts. Beneath his relaxed public manner, he seeks a Fire Heart Gall to disperse the ice energy afflicting the person he loves. An unidentified man offers the medicine in exchange for the stele inside the Great Peace Treasure Pavilion, then uses Nanmen Xue to challenge Xiao Mo Ge and divert attention. When unexplained abductions make the partnership look compromised, Nanmen Xue threatens to withdraw and exploits his importance to demand the Gall immediately, though the text never confirms that he receives it. After Lin Qian destroys the stele, Nanmen Xue remains with the conspirator and anticipates Marshal Yu's interest in the Anti Dragon Claw; his subsequent fate and the outcome of his private quest are not stated. Appearance and personality

Nanmen Xue is a handsome man seen in black robes, at one point walking with an arm around a beautiful woman. He cultivates an outwardly lazy, pleasure-seeking air, but the ominous presence behind that pose can make an observer feel as though a mountain has suddenly appeared. (Chapter 608)

His core motive is devoted rather than frivolous: he accepts a dangerous bargain to help the person he loves. He is direct in speech, decisive once terms are clear, and sufficiently shrewd to question a partner whose story no longer fits events. Abilities and cultivation

Nanmen Xue is third on the Great Peace Mo Ranking and only a step below marshal level. A cold snort from him breaks Qi Diao Yu's mo sound across a street, and his presence alone is described as terrifying.
