Lan Rong
Biography
Documented arc
Lan Rong and his elder brother Lan Tian Long are identified as the two outstanding geniuses who revive the prestige of their ancient family, with both considered possible future marshals. Lan Rong initially observes Xiao Mo Ge's rise in Great Peace City, candidly admits that he could not stop the punch that defeats Miao Jun's Azure Air Kill, and discusses the shifting rivalries around his new reputation. (Chapters 569, 589)
At Shi Yue Yi's banquet, Lan Tian Long introduces Lan Rong to Xiao Mo Ge. Lan Rong quietly studies the newcomer and then spends much of the evening containing the consequences of his brother's drinking. When Shen Yu mocks the Lan family and challenges him, Lan Rong answers sharply but recognizes that Shen Yu is stronger; after Xiao Mo Ge becomes involved, Lan Rong nevertheless offers to fight in his place rather than let a drunken ally be exploited. (Chapters 602–603)
Xiao Mo Ge defeats and kills Shen Yu, and Lan Rong greets the result with open excitement. Once the immediate celebration passes, he gives a sincere warning that the Shen family may retaliate from the shadows. His conduct turns a banquet acquaintance into a genuine ally whose loyalty is grounded in shared danger rather than simple admiration. (Chapters 606–607)
During the crisis at Great Peace City, Lan Rong and his brother align themselves with Zuo Mo, turn over their available guards, and offer to risk their lives. When Zuo Mo decides that the defenders need more manpower, the brothers immediately understand the urgency, accept responsibility for recruitment, and leave without wasting time. (Chapters 627–628)
Appearance and personality
Lan Rong appears delicate and serene, and Lan Tian Long considers him the better-looking brother. He is observant, socially perceptive, and usually more restrained than Lan Tian Long, but his tongue becomes quick and cutting when his family is insulted. He can also be lively and teasing once he trusts someone. (Chapters 595, 602–607)
Abilities and cultivation
The Lan family regards Lan Rong as a cultivation genius with the potential to reach marshal level. Within the covered chapters, however, he does not display a named personal technique. His demonstrated practical strengths are judgment, loyalty under pressure, and rapid organization. (Chapters 569, 589, 602–603, 628)
