Biography

Great Peace City and Mo Cloud Sea

Fei Lei leaves the youths he has been teaching because the blood-dragon summons calls him toward what he describes as fate. In a buried desert altar he receives an inheritance and a mission: find specified declining clans, restore their lost mo-skill inheritances, and form a battalion named King's Horn. He crosses great distances to recruit more than one hundred impoverished young descendants with notable bloodlines, drawing on his own knowledge of mo skills and battalion training. The work gives concrete form to the mysterious summons and shifts him from a village mentor into the guardian of a force intended to serve an unseen king. (Chapters 560, 567, and 677)

Shen-Power Ruins and the Great-Sect War

Years later, Fei Lei receives Liang Wei at the concealed valley where thousands of recruited youths train. He explains that their awakened bloodlines and conversion from mo skills to shen power have produced exceptional individual growth but also dangerous instinctive behaviors, while their battalion formation remains rudimentary. Recognizing Liang Wei's battlefield resolve, Fei Lei hands the difficult command problem to the stronger tactical leader and begins the partnership that will shape King's Horn. (Chapter 759)

Nether Succession and the Final War

After contact with Mo Cloud Sea is lost, Fei Lei and Liang Wei keep King's Horn together for ten years by raiding for resources while preserving daily training and refusing to become ordinary bandits. Fei Lei manages accounts, bears responsibility for the youths he recruited, and hides his fear that loyalty will decay. News of Zuo Mo's return releases that strain, and he immediately leads the battalion to its king. He and Liang Wei guard the flanks during the march to Nether King Palace. Fei Lei is overwhelmed by Zuo Mo's power, watches Liang Wei's condition during the punishing advance, and accurately warns that a large concentrated enemy can halt them. Appearance and personality

Fei Lei initially has an extremely broad, well-built body, scarred hands, sharp weathered features, a short dense beard flecked with grey, and deep light-grey eyes. He wears a long windbreaker. After years of medicinal-pool cultivation, his refined muscles are less bulky but more tightly defined, while his face retains an experienced, steady presence. (Chapters 560, 759, and 878)

He is quiet, reliable, responsible, and emotionally controlled in front of his battalion. He is not as clever or tactically gifted as Liang Wei, but his judgment is experienced and rarely makes elementary mistakes. His tears at Zuo Mo's return reveal the depth of a loyalty he has carried beneath a stern exterior for ten years. (Chapters 677, 759, 878, and 883–885)

Abilities and cultivation

Fei Lei receives mo skills and battle-general knowledge through the blood-summons inheritance. He can identify, recruit, and train descendants of ancient clans, help awaken the strength in their bloodlines, teach their restored inheritances, and establish basic battalion organization. As a battle general, Fei Lei is experienced and dependable rather than spectacular. Liang Wei provides King's Horn's highest-level tactical command, while Fei Lei contributes training, logistics, co-leadership, and sound threat estimates. He cannot remove every dangerous side effect of the youths' awakened bloodlines, and the battalion initially lacks both mature formation skill and stable outside supplies.
