Xandar
Xandar is the ancient Shapeshifter Godbeast whose bloodline becomes central to Daneel's Fighter power. The corpus also uses Xander for human characters in Lanthanor and the Fortress, but never proves that those people are connected to Lord Xandar; those name collisions are not merged here.
Biography
The Shapeshifter's legacy
Xandar hides a bloodline whose bearer can assume the forms of other Godbeasts. A fragment of his consciousness later guides Daneel Anivron, supplies a password connected to the ancient Treasury, and judges him worthy enough to carry the legacy forward. Daneel uses the bloodline for his Fighter breakthrough and repeatedly combines its transformations with other Godbeast powers. (Chapters 628 and 688–715)
At the Treasury, Daneel learns that the Noble Seven are alive outside Angaria. Lord Xandar is therefore not merely a dead recording: the living Godbeast sends greetings and wonders what his separated consciousness fragment witnessed in Daneel. During the final defense, the awakened Shapeshifter is among the Godbeasts supporting Angaria, though its strongest contribution is versatility and stored trinkets rather than a straightforward elemental attack. (Chapters 1,047–1,050 and 1,147–1,148)
Appearance and personality
The Shapeshifter has no single stable appearance because transformation is its defining trait. Xandar's consciousness is discerning and secretive, preserving knowledge behind tests rather than distributing it indiscriminately. The human Xanders are not reliable evidence for his appearance or personality. (Chapters 628 and 688–715)
Abilities and power
The Shapeshifter Bloodline allows its bearer to transform into any Godbeast form the inheritance can reproduce, gaining the form's body and abilities. It does not create unlimited power: effectiveness depends on the user's own realm, usable bloodline memories, Energy, and knowledge of each form. A transformed Shapeshifter also cannot act as a biological forebear, so mating in an assumed form cannot pass on that species. The awakened Shapeshifter's final battle shows a further practical limit—versatility does not automatically provide a strong direct attack, leading it to deploy explosive trinkets instead. (Chapters 628, 688–715, 778–780, and 1,147–1,148)

The supplied corpus establishes Xandar's bloodline and consciousness fragment as inheritances, not an individually carried signature item.
