Skrr

Skrr is an ancient Divine Cockroach awakened from hibernation, driven by her mother's command to preserve their species and later by loyalty to the people who befriend her.

Biography

Awakening and defense of Angaria

Skrr survives her mother's final attempt to force the young cockroach into hiding, then spends ages hibernating near people who ask for her blessing. A false mating call draws her into Daneel's trap, but he offers the ancient Energy needed for her breakthrough and promises to seek a surviving male. Skrr accepts an oath not to attack humanity, imprints on his kindness, and chooses his company even when an adult Divine Cockroach arrives to supervise her. (Chapters 717–719 and 778–780)

After breaking through as a Hero, Skrr accompanies Daneel and Eloise on Order missions, where her innocence coexists with the durability of a Godbeast. In the final war she stands at the head of awakened Godbeasts, demonstrates instinctive power to the Hivemind's people, and joins the coordinated attack. At the farewell she is cheerful about returning to the long sleep most familiar to her, still trusting Daneel's promise that she may find a mate after waking. Appearance and personality

In beast form Skrr is a many-legged Divine Cockroach whose rubbing limbs make the sound behind her name. After becoming a Hero she can assume a roughly five-foot-tall human form with short antennae, blue eyes, very long brown hair, and youthful features. She is literal, inquisitive, loyal, easily delighted, and openly focused on preserving her species. (Chapters 717–719 and 778–780)

Abilities and power

Divine Cockroaches possess exceptional survival traits, including hibernation, extreme durability, and an escape technique that can break restrictions by inflicting severe injury on the user. Skrr's Hero breakthrough enlarges and wounds her body before granting human transformation and instinctive teleportation strong enough to follow Daneel immediately. She remains weak and emotionally sensitive just after breaking through and needs an older specimen's guidance before reaching full strength. Her later leadership shows recovered Hero capability, but no confirmed advancement beyond Hero. (Chapters 717–719, 778–780, 854, and 1,144–1,148)

Relationships

• Daneel Anivron: Skrr trusts Daneel for shelter, Energy, and his promise to seek a mate, while he protects her and incorporates her into Angaria's defense.
• Eloise: Eloise teaches Skrr human customs, cares for her during the vulnerable post-breakthrough period, and later coordinates with her in battle.
• Melissa: The adult Hero-level Divine Cockroach offers species guidance, although Skrr initially prefers the human she already trusts.
