Devourer
History
Vormec forges Devourer after reading the brutal survival intent in Damien’s swordsmanship. The blade becomes Damien’s first named commissioned weapon and gives his rough technique a durable focus during his early ascent. When Damien later names Mirage, he explicitly remembers Devourer, making the first sword the model for how he treats a weapon as part of his identity rather than anonymous equipment. (Chapters 31–32, 344)
Properties and use
The local corpus presents Devourer as a sword made to suit Damien’s savage, direct style. Its long-term mechanics are not developed after Damien leaves Earth, so later spatial amplification and sentience belong to Mirage and must not be retroactively assigned to Devourer. (Chapters 31–32, 344)
