Ramiro

Ramiro is the thirteenth-ranked night watcher, a level-eight radiant knight whose Flesh Manipulation blood power lets him change identity, assimilate bodies, and prepare a biological resurrection. Disguised as the apostle Anheuse, he hunts Lucien through the false-god conflict until an attempted ambush exposes him. (Chapters 463–482)

Biography

The hunter hidden among Ell's apostles

Ramiro enters the alternate realm under the identity of Anheuse and carefully measures every supernatural actor around Ell. He changes appearance, sends marked letters through merchants, and suppresses his own strength so that neither Francis nor “Leviathan” realizes a high-ranking night watcher is beside them. His goal is to locate and eliminate Lucien Evans, and he repeatedly delays the attack when witnesses or changing conditions make success uncertain. That patience is genuine, but it is paired with predatory confidence: after judging Leviathan no stronger than a level-four knight, Ramiro plans to digest him alive rather than risk interrogation. (Chapters 463–480)

In the collapsing realm of the Lord of Underworld, Ramiro finally attacks. Lucien reveals senior sorcery, reduces his resistance, and freezes his mutable body and soul inside Silent Coffin before he can exploit self-explosion. Ramiro has left a piece of flesh near the entrance as a resurrection anchor, but Lucien traces the link and Alterna unknowingly roasts and eats the reserve. With the frozen soul dissolved and the prepared body gone, his unusual route back to life fails. The meticulous hunter is defeated because he misjudges the target's hidden rank and because his biological safeguard depends on a vulnerable nearby fragment. (Chapters 480–482)

Appearance and personality

Ramiro's ordinary presentation is a black-haired, unremarkable man who constantly chews something, but Flesh Manipulation lets him adopt male or female bodies and the identities of other people. He is cautious, informed, and experienced in assassination, yet cruel enough to regard another person's absorption as the safest solution. Repeated interruptions frustrate him without making him abandon the mission. (Chapters 463–480)

Magic, abilities, and skills

Ramiro's blood power controls flesh on a massive scale. He can reshape his appearance and anatomy, melt into a boneless mass that wraps and digests a target, divide or proliferate parts of himself, and leave reserve flesh for resurrection. Self-explosion can also break confinement attempts. The technique has strict practical limits: weakening magic reduces its effective rank, Silent Coffin can freeze both body and soul before division completes, and resurrection requires a surviving linked fragment within a workable range.
