Eric

Eric is the Sorcerer Administrative Department official who processes badges, credits, papers, and review results for Lucien and many other arcanists. The “Baron Eric” mentioned in Chapter 136 is not established as the same person; the recurring Congress official appears from Chapter 188 onward. (Chapters 136, 188–441)

Biography

Witness to an arcanist's rapid ascent

Eric first handles Lucien's badges and repeatedly confronts results that exceed normal administrative expectations: all-A+ reviews, hundreds of credits, and unusually rapid level advancement. He does more than stamp documents, explaining what the totals mean and guiding researchers through the department. When Levski's paper is mishandled, Eric's confusion and concern make him part of the process that finally forces a fair review. By reading Lucien's later wave-challenging paper despite his own commitments, Eric embodies the ordinary institutional worker required to carry disruptive findings into the Congress's official record.
