Blake is an island-based young sorcerer whose reliance on Arcana Voice inspires him to return to Allyn and join the Atom Institution. He contributes to atomic and artificial-intelligence work while preparing for third-circle advancement. (Chapters 448–696)

Biography

Closing the distance from the Solar Islands

Blake begins far from Allyn, where journals arrive a month late and radio is his only timely connection to major debates. The wave–particle war grips him so strongly that he applies to the Atom Institution with an explicit plan to leave the Solar Islands. Once accepted, he studies relativity like a master class, recognizes the neutron's importance to New Alchemy, and joins Alfalia and Heidi's projects. His relocation turns passive dependence on broadcasts into participation in the experiments and machines those broadcasts describe. (Chapters 448–450, 532–575, 646–696)

Personality and abilities

Blake is earnest, partisan, and capable of careful study once an argument reaches him. He is an elemental arcanist approaching third-circle sorcery and contributes experimental data and components to team projects. No signature spell is identified. (Chapters 450, 544, 573–575, and 696)
