Aglaea

Aglaea is the queen of the elves and the peak legendary guardian of Stroop Forest. Half merged with Nature's Heart and the Elvish Tree, she protects her people through natural power, political alliances, and long-range control of the forest's deepest defenses. (Chapters 668–688 and 758–820)

Biography

Turning corruption against its architect

Aglaea discovers that elves, druid elders, and the Elvish Tree are being corrupted, but her need to remain merged with the tree prevents her from conducting the investigation personally. She asks the Congress for legendary help rather than letting elvish pride isolate the forest. Behind that request she already senses that air has been stolen from Nature's Heart. Instead of exposing Lankshear immediately, she reverses his prepared ritual so that the negative feelings he meant to load into Ferragond use Lankshear himself as their container. The plan purges the tree, vindicates the accused elder, and defeats the conspirator with his own mechanism. (Chapters 668–687)

Aglaea afterward shares information about rare space-time materials and continues representing elvish power in conflicts among top legends and demigods. She stabilizes the Blue Gate with the manifested Elvish Tree and later resists Viken's shadow by merging back into its reflection. Her protection is not passive invulnerability: hostile demigod influence can force her to interrupt an attack, but the tree prevents a weak projection from penetrating nature. Appearance and personality

The excerpts focus on Aglaea's calm voice, patience, and strategic reserve rather than a full physical description. She can allow a dangerous scheme to proceed long enough to expose and reverse it, a decision that shocks those who mistake restraint for ignorance. Her requests to the Congress and gratitude afterward show that she treats alliance as a practical duty of rule. (Chapters 668 and 684–688)

Nature's Heart and abilities

Aglaea has half merged with Nature's Heart, allowing a level-three legendary elf to reach the peak of legendary. She senses interference with the artifact, projects her presence across the forest, manifests the Elvish Tree to restrain corruption or stabilize space, and uses the Bow of Nature's Punishment. Because she must control the tree during a crisis and can be disrupted by demigod corruption, the bond is both the source of her authority and a constraint on where and how she acts.
