Light of Eternity and Life

The Light of Eternity and Life is a sentient, universe-like convergence of Avartin’s living origins. It aligns its will with Choi Sung-Woon during the removal of the old system and later acts as plaintiff and observable moral authority in the Hall of Myriad Stars.

Biography

A will behind the new order

During Sung-Woon’s final confrontation with the system, the Light of Eternity and Life wishes time to stop and aligns its will with his, allowing him to speak with authority on its behalf. Sung-Woon strips the old system of control over Avartin and establishes that extraordinary beings may become Constellations when their achievements are recognized by the Light. It then calls Lakrak to become the representative of Judgment and watches that judgment operate. At Aldin’s trial, a warm galaxy-like projection serves as plaintiff; after testimony and deliberation, its pulse communicates that a conclusion has been reached. The Light therefore does not appear as a passive energy source but as an explicit chooser whose will can be read, represented, and observed. (Chapters 314–332)

Appearance and personality

The Light appears in Sung-Woon’s imagery world as countless star-like rays. In the Hall it is projected through a small glass orb containing a warm, slowly rotating galaxy, described as a whole universe small enough to hold. (Chapters 314–332)

It does not converse in ordinary dialogue, but the system renders its wishes as statements and selections. The corpus supports intentional judgment and recognition, not a detailed human-like temperament. (Chapters 314–320)

Powers and abilities

The Light can align with a representative’s will, bend causality, recognize Constellation candidates, and reach observable judgments. Sung-Woon reads and voices its will, while Lakrak serves as proxy for Judgment. The exact independence, range, and limits of these effects remain undefined; the text does not establish that the Light alone performs every act attributed to their overlap. (Chapters 314–320)
