Regis

Regis is the thousandth member of the Midnight Inn battalion and an infiltration specialist whose awakened ability removes him from sight, sound, and memory. Initially so thoroughly erased that Luthor must call him “1000,” he later develops enough control to reappear and becomes one of the Inn's most effective intelligence and security operatives. Biography

Reconnaissance without a trace

Luthor sends Regis beyond the battalion's fort because his disappearance makes ordinary detection irrelevant. Exhausted from continuous travel, Regis still infiltrates a massive enemy construction site, follows translated conversation to learn about a blood sacrifice, and locates another surviving force. He cannot sabotage the site because he lacks the required training, but returns with information the defenders otherwise would never receive. (Chapters 831–837)

Later mastery lets Regis choose whether others remember him and extends disappearance to objects he takes, enabling him to steal Sanguis Pluvia files and identify hidden bases. He eventually joins Security against Heaven Immortals attacking Lorelei. Activating his gift helps win the fight but also makes the rescued woman forget the dashing worker she had begun admiring, a personal cost that illustrates how perfectly the ability erases its user. Appearance and personality

Regis is a young human described as handsome when visible, often operating in Inn uniform or combat equipment. He is quiet, dutiful, cautious, and brave enough to continue reconnaissance despite exhaustion and terrifying information. He also thinks critically about shortcomings, regretting his lack of sabotage training rather than mistaking concealment for complete operational competence. (Chapters 831–837, 2003)

Abilities and cultivation

Regis can disappear completely: light, sound, vibration, equipment, name, and memories of his existence all vanish. Objects he removes can also be forgotten, making the power exceptional for theft and intelligence. Early activation is effectively constant and prevents normal communication; later control lets him reappear, though doing so costs more energy than remaining erased. The ability works even against Heaven Immortals but can erase allies' favorable memories, and it does not supply endurance, sabotage knowledge, or direct offensive strength.
