Pride

Pride is the purple dragon among seven brothers identified with the legendary sins. He initially refuses Envy's proposal to leave the Folklore realm, but Jack's concealed nature and ambition to disrupt the universe interest him enough to watch, investigate, and conduct subtle experiments from a higher Artica level. Biography

Curiosity about Jack

Pride dismisses the first opportunity to venture outside, yet Envy's claim that Jack holds secrets even the brothers cannot see changes passive refusal into observation. He spies invisibly on Jack and Bob while they discuss fairies and universal unrest, deciding that learning what is already before him does not violate his self-image. The contradiction makes his name descriptive without reducing him to simple arrogance. (Chapters 1526–1527, 1636–1642)

From the Artica realm's highest level, Pride can observe lower layers but is forbidden to control them without detection and deportation. He studies Jack's discovery of self-replenishing divine ore and flicks down a piece infused with a trace of his power, turning curiosity into a controlled test. His latest interest centers not on the ore itself but on Jack's hidden secrets and improbable ability to cause universal disturbance. (Chapters 1642–1645)

Appearance and personality

Pride is a small, dwarf-like dragon with purple scales resembling a sea of amethyst. He is restrained, curious, aloof, and genuinely proud, but not too proud to spy when knowledge requires little effort. He avoids forcibly stripping Jack's secrets, preferring tests whose results can be watched from a distance and interpreted without admitting personal investment. (Chapters 1526–1527, 1636–1645)

Abilities and cultivation

Pride stands at the peak of Dao Lord cultivation. His position lets him observe lower Artica levels, summon divine ore, infuse it with a hint of power, and send it across levels with a flick. Artica law restricts direct interference: attempts to control a lower level would be detected and lead to deportation. The narrative does not reveal his Dao or full combat abilities, and even he cannot directly perceive Jack's deepest secrets. (Chapters 1636–1645)
