Pebbles

Pebbles is a prosthetic-limbed hamster pirate whose small body becomes the Jolly Rancher's most dependable shield. Immortality transforms his replaceable prostheses into an arsenal and confirms his extraordinary durability, while his mutinous jokes, treasure-filled cheeks, and appetite for dangerous objects repeatedly create new problems for the crew. Biography

Prosthetics, treasure, and immortality

Pebbles joins the expanded pirate crew as a troublemaker already missing multiple limbs, which he attributes to accidents involving his wife's cooking. He is literal, acquisitive, and eager to store more treasure in his cheeks. After the Challenge-realm trial makes him an Earth Immortal, his prostheses evolve into interchangeable weapons: a flamethrower arm, missile leg, electrified fly-swatter hands, and even naval-mine hips. He promptly tests that power in a failed mutiny against Jack. (Chapters 1443, 1494–1495, 1683, 1692–1712)

The crew's indestructible shield

Pebbles remains committed to the crew even while treating mutiny as a recurring hobby. His body is sufficiently indestructible that companions throw or position him as cover against artillery and divine threats, although he still feels every impact. In later fighting he bites through shields and equipment made from valuable material and stuffs the pieces into his cheeks. The combination makes him both defensive asset and scavenger, but pain, cages, and stronger control effects can still immobilize him. (Chapters 1712–1713, 1835, 1886, 2190, 2334)

Kidnapped storage vault

Pebbles eventually commercializes his cheek space by renting it as secure storage for unstable goods through eBuy. The scheme ends with his disappearance and confinement around a forbidden artifact that corrodes his body without burning through it. Longbeard notices he is missing, the ship follows the trail, and the crew recovers him and a bronze figurine he spits out. The object's larger consequences remain unresolved, making Pebbles's latest adventure a warning that indestructibility does not make reckless custody safe. (Chapters 2368–2372)

Pebbles is a small hamster with multiple prosthetic limbs whose designs change according to need and whim. His physical scale contrasts with his appetite for weapons, treasure, and command. He is reckless, argumentative, opportunistic, and theatrically mutinous, yet his promise that crewmates never leave reveals sincere loyalty. Abilities and cultivation

As an Earth Immortal, Pebbles possesses a body repeatedly described as immortal, invincible, or indestructible. It withstands artillery, hostile artifacts, and use as a living shield, but does not prevent pain or capture. His adaptive prostheses manifest weapons and utilities whose configurations can change daily. His cheeks provide unusually stable, high-capacity storage for treasure and even dangerous goods, and his bite can breach protective shields or valuable equipment. These traits interact dangerously: durability encourages risk, cheek storage attracts hazardous cargo, and neither ability tells him what an unknown artifact will do after recovery.
