Nzaar
Nzaar is a Qwash pillager captain whose raiding ship is intercepted and converted into the enemy side of the Midnight Madness event. Violent even by interstellar standards, he nevertheless distinguishes himself through disciplined command and the ability to withstand several Nascent opponents after the rest of his crew falls. (Chapters 280–283)
Biography
The Midnight Madness battle
When an equal number of Inn participants appears, Nzaar immediately recognizes an organized intervention and gives ruthless, efficient orders instead of wasting time on threats. His pillagers' coordination initially offsets the participants' individual advantages, while he personally fights three Nascent cultivators and appears to be winning. The performance keeps his crew competitive even as the Inn removes weaker fighters from danger. (Chapters 280–282)
Nzaar continues holding the remaining Nascent participants after every lieutenant and subordinate has been defeated. That resistance gives Tiffany enough time to secure an unbeatable event lead, an unintended consequence of his own tenacity. Surrounded by the full field, he is finally defeated but explicitly survives in poor condition; later news describes his pillager group as destroyed, without establishing his personal death or release. (Chapters 283, 421)
Appearance and personality
Nzaar is a Qwash, a nomadic species known for violence, rapid lower-realm growth, and escaping battles they cannot win. The narrative does not provide a more detailed portrait. He is ruthless, decisive, tactically alert, and extraordinarily stubborn, continuing alone when capture would be safer and his crew can no longer benefit from resistance. (Chapters 280–283)
Abilities and cultivation
Nzaar fights at the Nascent level and can contest three peers simultaneously. Superior equipment supports both offense and defense, while Qwash talent and crew coordination amplify his effectiveness. He still cannot overcome the accumulated force of every surviving contestant, and the event's safety intervention applies only to participants, not his crew. His specific techniques and the contribution of gear versus innate ability are not separately explained. (Chapters 280–283)

Items
Nzaar uses advanced offensive and defensive equipment, but the narrative does not name or isolate any piece as a finalized notable item.
