Feyore, the Witch of the Hidden River, is the Marzu leader who allies with the Midnight Battalion to destroy devil monuments and dies when a zealot uses her in a ritual. (Chapters 860–871, 981)

Biography

Alliance against the monuments

Stranded without outside communication, Feyore initially questions whether Z's promised reinforcements can protect her people. Recognizing the battalion's unified strength and the demonic signature of the nearby monument, she chooses a joint hunt while keeping the Marzu close enough to judge their allies. Her magic gives the mech flight and prevents its enormous attacks from tearing space, but Z's largest strike pushes that protection to a painful limit. A divine zealot then freezes and abducts her before she can explain his soul-harvesting ritual; the Marzu refuse to leave until special means confirm her death. That loss drives the Hidden River and wider Marzu into war against the devils, while survivors' incomplete account leaves suspicion hanging over the Inn. (Chapters 860–871, 981, 1341)

Appearance and personality

Feyore is a Marzu, a large magical race with a powerful body and feather-associated spellcraft; the narrative does not isolate her colors or exact features. She is aggressive once she identifies prey, cautious about uncertain allies, and protective enough that her followers initially refuse evacuation without her. Her fury when Z overstresses space reflects both pride and the real burden of maintaining the seal. (Chapters 860–862)

Abilities and cultivation

Feyore has an abnormal affinity for magic and can communicate with her group telepathically. She casts externally powered feathered wings onto the Midnight mech, linking them seamlessly to Z's control without draining the mech's own energy. She and the Marzu also suppress spatial tears caused by the battalion's attacks, but Z's strongest technique makes her tremble and leaves the containment under severe strain. The zealot's divine freezing effect shuts down both her movement and magical emission, demonstrating a decisive counter before her death. (Chapters 860–865, 869)
