Four Spirit Orbs
The Four Spirit Orbs are communal relics assigned to the four non-fox spirit tribes. Situated at the Spirit World’s cardinal regions, they distribute regional power and prevent any one tribe from claiming effortless supremacy. They belong to the spirit peoples collectively; Queen Kurami governs and carries them but does not convert that public trust into personal ownership. (Chapter 283)
History
Demonic seizure and recovery
Demons capture and corrupt all four orbs, then build outposts around them to channel their strength. Kurami organizes five simultaneous operations: four teams recover the cardinal relics while a fifth pressures the main fort. Barry’s group secures the southern orb, Kyana directly carries the eastern orb after her team defeats its Demon Knight, Kai teleports the western orb into his hand, and Gwen’s northern force completes the set. The separate acts are battlefield custody on Kurami’s behalf, not individual claims. (Chapters 283–289)
Cleansing and restoration
Kurami fits the recovered orbs into her crown, where they shrink to become part of a single channeling arrangement. Because corruption prevents safe immediate use, Kai temporarily takes the crown and pours enough mana through it to strip away the demonic energy. Kurami then wears the restored crown and releases the orbs’ influence across the Spirit World, empowering distant spirits and herself. Their power shields spirits from the destructive clash between Kurami and Carleen, although even four orbs cannot make Kurami stronger than that Demon Lord. (Chapters 289–293)
Later battlefield use
During a later monster battle, Karumi produces one spirit orb and throws it to Kai, who uses his own power to detonate an attack through it. This shows that an orb can be loaned or carried separately after the crown arrangement, but the scene does not transfer the set’s ownership or royal custody. Kurami remains the established custodian at the latest confirmed point. (Chapter 443)
Abilities and properties
Each orb amplifies spirits in its vicinity, making its assigned tribe strongest within its home region. United in Kurami’s crown, the four broadcast empowerment across great distances, enhance the queen, draw upon the Spirit World’s essence, and form protective shielding around allied spirits. They can resize to fit the crown and channel another user’s power into an attack. Corruption can redirect their output to demons, purification requires enough external mana, and their combined boost does not guarantee victory over a stronger being. (Chapters 283, 289–293, 443)
