Chrono-Steel Arsenal
The Chrono-Steel Arsenal is a class of crystal-like weapons and armor forged from metal altered by temporal fluctuations. It is not a single matched personal set: the name covers the swords, bows, axes, staves, gauntlets, armor, and other forms used by the guardians of the village beside the Town Trapped in Time. (Chapters 517–518)
History
A village’s defense against time
After the Chrono Event traps a neighboring town, Goddess Aera charges an ancestor of Chieftess Penelope with preventing chrono-beasts from spreading farther across Windonia. The guardian has ore from the local mine absorb the region’s time fluctuations, producing Chrono-Steel. Her descendants and community preserve that material culture for a thousand years, pairing their blessed line with equipment capable of fighting creatures that ignore ordinary force and magic. (Chapter 518)
Loaned blade and replicated arsenal
When chrono-beasts attack the village, Gwen’s spells cannot affect them. A local man throws her a chrono blade; once she coats it in mana, she bisects a beast that had phased through ordinary defenses. Kai examines the clear, light-refracting weapon, senses time flowing through it, and copies it through his status system. He then creates duplicated weapons and armor in forms suited to Gwen, Amaya, Kyana, Sasha, and Nadya. The original sword remains village property despite Gwen’s temporary battlefield use. (Chapter 517)
Campaign equipment
The party uses time-attuned forms to help clear the attack and proceed toward the temporal prison. Kyana independently discovers that time-infused arrows can kill the same creatures, reinforcing that the relevant property is temporal attunement rather than one unique blade. The source does not record a later return or destruction of Kai’s copies, while the original community continues its inherited defensive mission with its own arsenal. (Chapters 517–518)
Abilities and properties
Chrono-Steel contains time fluctuations and allows a wielder’s mana or ki to interact with chrono-beasts that phase through ordinary spells and matter. A sword can carry golden flame, and the material can be shaped into many weapon and armor categories without losing its time affinity. Its effects still depend on a user supplying power and landing an attack; the arsenal does not automatically reverse stolen time, prevent all temporal harm, or replace the separate barriers and bloodline blessings protecting the village. (Chapters 517–518)
