Wangji
Wangji is Lan WangJi's guqin and the instrument through which he performs inquiry, suppression, and combat music.
History
Renowned spiritual instrument
Wangji is introduced as a famous instrument whose abilities make even Jiang Cheng reluctant to enter an uncertain fight with Lan WangJi. During the Yi City confrontation, Lan WangJi sets it across a table and plays while simultaneously fighting Xue Yang with Bichen. (Chapters 8 and 38)
Corpse suppression
Lan WangJi uses Wangji's forceful notes against the rampaging Wen Ning at Burial Mound. At Guanyin Temple, he balances the guqin in one hand and plays alongside Lan XiChen's Liebing in an attempt to restrain Nie MingJue's fierce corpse. (Chapters 75 and 107)
