Shuoyue
Shuoyue is Lan XiChen's spiritual sword, used both to mediate violent confrontations and to deliver decisive force when restraint fails.
History
Between sworn brothers
Shuoyue first appears when Nie MingJue attacks Meng Yao. Lan XiChen draws it to block Baxia while supporting and calming Nie MingJue, placing the sword between men who later become his sworn brothers. (Chapter 49)
Guanyin Temple
After Lan XiChen's spiritual power is suppressed at Guanyin Temple, he says that neither Shuoyue nor Liebing can offer their usual help. When his power returns, Shuoyue's sword energy knocks the weapon from Su She's hand after Nie HuaiSang is wounded. Later, reacting to Nie HuaiSang's warning, Lan XiChen thrusts Shuoyue through Jin GuangYao's chest. Jin GuangYao pulls away from the blade before Lan XiChen seizes him again. (Chapters 99, 107–108)
Abilities and properties
- Shuoyue can project sword energy powerful and precise enough to disarm a fleeing cultivator. (Chapter 107)
- It can withstand direct clashes with Nie MingJue's saber Baxia. (Chapter 49)
- Like other spiritual swords, its effectiveness depends on the wielder's available spiritual power. (Chapter 99)
