Ring of the Beast Lord
The Ring of the Beast Lord is Karl's support ring, combining a large Luck bonus with increased damage for his bonded and summoned companions.
History
A pack-focused ring becomes Karl's luck charm
The ring enters Karl's equipment by Chapter 514, when its complete System description identifies both effects. Its companion-damage bonus directly suits a fighter whose bonded beasts and summoned bodies perform much of the team's combat, while the Luck increase has no precisely measured activation test in the supplied corpus. (Chapter 514)
Karl is later shown spinning the ring on his finger while hoping its Luck will help him avoid embarrassment during runecrafting. The scene confirms wear and custody but not that the ring guarantees a favorable outcome; Karl is speculating about how a numerical Luck statistic manifests. No later scene records a transfer or loss. (Chapter 635)
Abilities and properties
- Increases the wearer's Luck by 150 points. The story does not define a direct conversion from those points to probabilities or permit the wearer to select a desired outcome. (Chapter 514)
- Increases damage from skills used by bonded or summoned companions by 15 percent. The wording applies to their skills, not every attack made by any ally. (Chapter 514)
- The companion bonus benefits Karl's pack-centered formation, including Thor, without making a beneficiary an owner or wearer of the ring. (Chapters 514 and 635)
