Molten Armour of a Thousand Cuts
The Molten Armour of a Thousand Cuts is an ash-black suit made by Ashbringer and upgraded by Karl for a two-handed damage warrior, trading a tank-only focus for skill power, speed, damage, and enhanced cutting attacks.
History
A custom suit turns Alliance demand into material supply
Ashbringer builds the flexible plate-and-chain base from Totem-rank metal for a visiting Alliance warrior who uses a two-handed blade or axe. The armor already has a fiery red glow from the smith's Demonic magic, strong fire resistance, and unusually high damage reduction, so Karl concentrates his runes on offense, agility, strength, and [Sharpness]. Raising the work to Totem rank produces black demonic mist and the named Molten Armour of a Thousand Cuts, visually matching its damage-oriented design. (Chapter 1076)
Karl prices the finished suit at three times its own weight in Totem-rank or better raw material. The warrior briefly considers taking it, but the presence of his Guild Leader and the value of the Alliance relationship keep the transaction peaceful; he pays to the last gram and immediately equips it. The sale converts one exceptional commission into enough high-grade material to support further production, while the buyer leaves in ash-black plates surrounded by black fog and a deep crimson underglow. His name is not given in the chapter, and Raj is shown observing the purchase rather than wearing the armor. (Chapter 1076)
Abilities and properties
- The armor adds 250 points to skill power, increases skill activation speed by ten percent, and increases total skill damage by five percent. These are broad offensive bonuses, but the corpus does not specify their interaction with cooldowns or physical attack speed. (Chapter 1076)
- [Sharpness] increases damage from slashing, stabbing, and disintegration abilities by ten percent per rank. The text does not define a maximum or clarify whether “rank” refers to the item, wearer, or ability, so only the stated scaling is established. (Chapter 1076)
- Self Repair Level 3 provides automatic restoration and Mana Storage Level 5 adds a reserve, but neither effect is given a repair rate, capacity, refill condition, or activation cost. (Chapter 1076)
- The base suit is altered for mobility with a two-handed weapon and has strong fire resistance and damage reduction before Karl's additions. Those base protections are described qualitatively rather than assigned separate numerical values in the final item notice. (Chapter 1076)
