Tank
Biography
Training durable front-line Elites
Tank teaches Academy close combat by letting every student attempt to overcome his enormous frame. Grappling specialists struggle because their techniques cannot move him, while Karl's unusual strength gives the class a meaningful demonstration rather than a scripted exercise. (Chapters 66–68)
He later reunites with Karl during war, welcoming Thor and the other students with open affection, and continues explaining Berserker-compatible skills. By the wedding trials he remains a skeptical but attentive teacher who notices Karl transferring new abilities. (Chapters 331–346 and 1208–1210)
Appearance and personality
Tank is a huge, mountain-like man. He is friendly, physically demonstrative, sparing with words, and patient enough to teach by repeated practice. (Chapters 67–68, 331, and 1061)
Abilities and class
Tank is a Berserker and exceptional close-combat defender whose size and strength defeat ordinary grappling and submission methods. Berserker skill compatibility may require rage and partial animal transformation; the corpus does not establish his rank, signature skills, or later advancement. (Chapters 68 and 346)
Relationships
- Karl: Tank is one of Karl's earliest combat professors and later a trusted returning mentor. (Chapters 66–68, 331–346, and 1208)
- Thor: Tank treats Thor as an affectionate former student and front-line companion. (Chapter 331)
