Betty is a Red Dragon Priestess who combines combat-oriented holy magic with responsibility for orphaned children. She accompanies Karl's group back toward the Academy, then turns a flood-stranded journey into an exercise in survival, logistics, and calm authority.

Biography

A combat priestess takes responsibility for a stranded convoy

Betty meets Karl at the Seminary while preparing to accompany students back to the Divine Golden Academy. Her own assignment is a level-five expedition with final-year students seeking Commander-grade resources, a mission for which she has been chosen because healing is only one part of her combat-priest role. She also teaches physical education to orphaned children under twelve, accepting the Red Dragon priesthood's duty to care for those whom war leaves behind. (Chapter 125)

The return trip is cut off by a violent prairie flood. Betty cooks for the stranded group, identifies the hilltop as both refuge and a place displaced animals will seek, and establishes the need for guards before danger arrives. When water destroys the road and bridge, she reframes the students' strength as a practical resource: clearing the blockage, cutting a ramp, and rebuilding enough roadway can save the bus and reopen access for later vehicles.
