Argoth

Argoth is the Werewolf Warrior who serves as the principal tank for Jin’s mixed-rank New Home Merchant Clan team.

Biography

Anchoring a mixed-rank wilderness team

Jin introduces Argoth to Karl and Dana as the regular team’s main tank. The group deliberately mixes seniors and juniors because Immortal-realm trials contain multiple difficulty bands and internal restrictions, making a durable front-line member essential to protecting weaker participants. Argoth’s place in that structure is functional rather than ceremonial: he absorbs the danger that lets healers, gatherers, and students perform their own roles. (Chapter 1490)

Argoth encourages Karl to use the Clan’s vast separate-space training ground and asks whether he has access to clan credits. The invitation treats Karl as a prospective training partner and shows Argoth’s familiarity with the resources that support Immortal progression. He later joins Jin, Alisha, and Brother Chin on a wilderness exercise where they expect resource thieves to test the students. (Chapters 1491, 1506)

Avoiding one ambush through an unexplained delay

When the training expedition is attacked over a valuable resource, Argoth is not with Alisha and Jin. He was delayed in the trial ground and therefore avoids the incident, while Clan Elders search for him. The delay’s cause and his actions during it are not shown, so it cannot be treated as desertion, injury, or a special escape ability. (Chapter 1534)

Later conversation again names Argoth as part of Nyan’s usual group, although he is away on important business at that moment. This confirms that he returned safely enough to remain active in the team after the trial-ground separation. No later rank or role change is supplied. (Chapter 1629)

Appearance and personality

Argoth is a male Werewolf; the corpus gives no fur colour, build, clothing, or transformed appearance. His invitation to Karl is open and practical, focused on training space and the credit system. His continued selection as the main tank implies reliability within the trusted field group, but the sparse evidence does not establish broader habits or temperament. (Chapters 1490–1491)

Abilities and class

Argoth is a Warrior whose established application is main-tank duty. In that role he is expected to hold enemy attention and protect a mixed-rank party, but no named taunt, guard skill, weapon, transformation, or defensive statistic is attributed to him. His Werewolf physiology may contribute to combat performance, though the text does not separate racial traits from class abilities. (Chapter 1490)

He is experienced enough for Immortal-world wilderness exercises and trial grounds. His absence during the later ambush means none of that battle’s defensive feats belong to him, and his delay reveals a situational limit rather than a power. His latest state remains active as the team’s Warrior tank, with exact rank and progression unstated. (Chapters 1506, 1534, 1629)

Relationships

Argoth’s core relationships are with Jin, Alisha, and Brother Chin, whose damage, Berserker pressure, and healing complement his tank role. He welcomes Karl toward Clan training and credit opportunities. Nyan regards him as part of her usual adventuring group, confirming his continuing place in the team. (Chapters 1490–1491, 1506, 1629)
