Lumia
Lumia is an elder high elf who helps govern Elvenheim, supports its defenders through the world tree's network, and treats the human delegation with warm but clear-eyed diplomacy.
Biography
Elvenheim, Kargas, and the Pirate Archipelago
Lumia helps assess the unexplained fires spreading through the Great Forest and accepts that a guardian must investigate when ents are burned to death. During the response to Laevateinn, she counsels the younger Ellenoa to support the field party through Ratatoskr rather than follow from emotion, then formally thanks Theodore Miller's group after their victory. By opening the world-tree banquet to the humans as friends, she helps turn emergency cooperation into a durable relationship with Elvenheim. (Chapters 103 and 106–114)
Jerem's Return and the Great Forest
When Theodore returns through Ratatoskr, Lumia recognizes him and later greets his party after their rapid arrival in Elvenheim. She refuses his concern that the elves owe him an unpayable debt, arguing that friendship is not an account to be settled, and commits to facing the new threat with him. After the forest survives, she joins the discussion about the world tree's weakening and supports preparations for its recovery. (Chapters 315–317 and 334–335)
Marriage, Armageddon, and the New World
Lumia is mentioned during Theodore's final visit to Elvenheim as one of the high elves he would ordinarily find easier to approach than Naia. She receives no direct scene, decision, or new assignment in this arc. The corpus therefore leaves her alive in Elvenheim but does not specify her actions during Wrath's approach or the subsequent reconstruction. (Chapter 386)
Appearance and personality
Lumia has dark brown hair compared to tree bark and gently shining green eyes. She is old even by high-elf standards, composed in public, and attentive to the comfort of guests. Her teasing of Ellenoa and subtle joke at Theodore's banquet show a playful side, while her conduct during crises is affectionate, practical, and protective rather than impulsive. (Chapters 107 and 112–114)
Magic, abilities, and martial skills
As a high elf within the Great Forest, Lumia can use the world tree's mana and communicate through Ratatoskr, the forest-wide neural network. This allows her to monitor positions, receive distant reports, and coordinate with other high elves. She can also manipulate the world-tree environment, as when she opens a clouded path to the banquet. The corpus does not give a named personal combat technique or establish her power outside Elvenheim. (Chapters 107, 113–114, and 315–317)
Lumia distinguishes her own support role from Ellenoa's then-incomplete command of Ratatoskr and elemental summoning. Her words imply familiarity with the high elves' defensive functions, but no scene directly shows Lumia summoning an elemental ruler. It is therefore safer to credit her demonstrated network coordination and forest support without assigning her the specific summons used by Alucard or Alisa. (Chapters 106–107)
Relationships
- Theodore Miller: Lumia first treats Theodore as an allied human whose information must be assessed, then openly calls him a friend and rejects the idea that Elvenheim's gratitude should become a burden of debt. (Chapters 106–114 and 315–317)
- Ellenoa: Lumia is an older peer who teases Ellenoa about Theodore but also steadies her during danger, explaining why she must help from Elvenheim instead of following the field party. (Chapter 107)
- Alucard: Lumia and Alucard share responsibility for Elvenheim's decisions and Ratatoskr network. The corpus shows cooperation but does not define a more specific personal relationship. (Chapters 103–107 and 315–317)
Items
Lumia has no named personal item in the supplied link manifest. Her access to Ratatoskr and the world tree is a high-elf function and institutional connection, not ownership of a portable artifact. (Chapters 106–114 and 315–317)
