Lee Seol
Lee Seol is the sixteen-year-old keeper of the Baekun Mountains and a direct descendant of Lee Yoonsung. With Theodore Miller's intervention, she survives an attempt to displace her and becomes the recognized head of a reunified Fairy Dance Lee family.
Biography
East Continent and the Northern War
Seol finds Theodore unconscious after his forced dimensional travel and shelters him in her mountain cabin. Though cheerful and intensely curious with her guest, she fearlessly confronts armed men sent to intimidate her. Her uncle then invokes an imperial duel trial to absorb her branch of the divided family. Theodore fights as her representative and wins recognition of Seol as the next family head, while the emperor's age rules create a temporary regency. Over the following three months, Seol's position stabilizes and she accepts Theodore's departure despite the first protection and companionship she has known. (Chapters 242–252)
Before he leaves, Seol takes Theodore to mediate between the Baekun Mountains' two leading spirits over a dying sacred tree. She explains the dragon vein, sacred trees, and her responsibility as keeper, then remains behind when Theodore discovers a larger threat. The spirits' continued protection and her family's unification leave her safer than at the start, but the corpus does not suggest that a sixteen-year-old can yet participate in master-level combat. (Chapters 252–260)
Prometheus and the Eastern Apocalypse
Five years later Seol has grown into the active head of the family and maintained her training, though the master Theodore congratulates is Lee Joonyoung, not Seol. She welcomes Theodore back, supplies information on his companions, and later helps coordinate the recovery after the Eastern catastrophe. Theodore entrusts her with a signed scroll and the secondary and tertiary cleanup groups; Seol answers that she is no longer a child who can only be protected. Her precise later rank remains unstated. (Chapters 355–358 and 377–379)
Appearance and personality
At sixteen, Seol normally wears shabby mountain clothing but dresses formally for the duel trial and later appears in blue. Five years afterward she is a well-dressed young woman with braided hair. She is bright, talkative, proud of her role, and unusually brave before threats, yet her confidence coexists with understandable attachment to Theodore and anxiety about losing his support. (Chapters 242–252 and 356–358)
Magic, abilities, and martial skills
Seol practices the Fairy Dance martial tradition and has an established relationship with the spirits and dragon vein of Baekun Mountain. Three months of training doubles her earlier movement, and five years later her steps show continued improvement. She remains below master level in the directly assessed early arc, and the corpus does not name which hidden techniques she personally masters, an Aura Ability, or a later master breakthrough. Her strongest demonstrated competence is leadership: maintaining the mountain, unifying the family, and coordinating recovery teams. (Chapters 244–254, 356, and 379)
Relationships
- Theodore Miller: Seol rescues Theodore, who in turn protects her legal claim and helps rebuild her family's techniques and organization. She grows from a dependent minor into a leader whom Theodore trusts with cleanup forces. (Chapters 242–260 and 355–379)
- Lee Yoonsung: Seol is Yoonsung's direct descendant. He recognizes her through Theodore and supplies lost knowledge of the Fairy Dance, but their contact depends on Theodore's body rather than an ordinary meeting across generations. (Chapters 242–245)
Items
Lee Seol has no permanent named inventory item required by the supplied link manifest. Theodore's signed scroll gives her authority during the postwar cleanup, but it is an operational document rather than an established signature artifact. (Chapter 379)
