Ellaim

Ellaim is one of Elvenheim's master-level guardians, a spear fighter and high-ranking water elementalist who helps defend the Great Forest and later fights beside Meltor in the northern war.

Biography

Elvenheim, Kargas, and the Pirate Archipelago

Ellaim first appears during the Laevateinn crisis, attacking the fire giant with a silver-shining wooden spear and withdrawing only when Naia warns him of erupting lava. His inability to stop the second stage alone establishes both his courage and the scale of the grimoire threat. (Chapter 106)

Eastern Legacies, Quattro, and the Soldun Civil War

Ellaim later arrives in Meltor with Edwin as part of Elvenheim's delegation. He greets Theodore Miller as the benefactor he knows from the Great Forest, but the cited chapters do not give him an independent role in Soldun's civil war. (Chapters 184 and 188)

East Continent and the Northern War

During the final northern campaign, Ellaim and Edwin reinforce Meltor. Ellaim takes the frontline beside Randolph because his close-range spear work complements Edwin's archery. Against Invidia, shadow control immobilizes him and Theodore must pull both guardians away from a crushing attack; in the later exchange, Ellaim is cut across the neck before he can thrust. Theodore stabilizes the barely breathing guardian, and Ellaim survives despite the severe wound. (Chapters 277–293)

Jerem's Return and the Great Forest

Still bandaged and soft-voiced, Ellaim refuses Theodore's apology and affirms pride in his life as a guardian. He supplies the old Elvenheim account of a giant bird and dragon fighting around the world tree, helping interpret Heathcliff's prophecy. After healing preparations, he returns to field duty, throws spears against the undead, and reports that the eastern front has abruptly gone silent when the enemy army dies. (Chapters 312, 315–316, 325, and 330)

Appearance and personality

Ellaim is an elf warrior who carries a wooden spear with a silver sheen. He is courteous, steady, and defined by guardian pride: even after a near-fatal neck wound, he treats protecting Theodore and Elvenheim as an accepted duty rather than a debt requiring apology. (Chapters 106, 184, and 312)

Magic, abilities, and martial skills

Ellaim fights at master level with spear, aura, and high-ranking water elementals. He is strongest in close combat and can hurl spears with enough force to stop waves of undead. His elemental breathing calls powerful spirits, but immobilization or attacks beyond master scale can prevent him from completing a strike. The corpus does not name an individual Aura Ability or a signature spear technique. (Chapters 106, 278, 288–293, and 325)

Relationships

  • Theodore Miller: Ellaim regards Theodore as Elvenheim's benefactor, fights beside him in the northern war, and later helps him interpret the prophecy threatening the world tree. (Chapters 184, 277–293, and 312)
  • Edwin: Edwin is Ellaim's fellow guardian and frequent battlefield partner. Their bow and spear cover different ranges, and both suffer crippling injuries against Invidia before returning to defend Elvenheim. (Chapters 184, 277–293, and 312–330)

Items

Ellaim has no permanent named inventory item required by the supplied link manifest. His silver-shining wooden spear is his consistent weapon, but the corpus supplies no proper name, origin, or separate artifact identity for it. (Chapters 106 and 325)
