Canis

Canis is a cautious black-market dealer in Bergen who becomes one of Theodore Miller's earliest artifact suppliers. His instinct for survival later turns him into an informant against a slave-trading operation.

Biography

Academy, Magic Contest, and National Service

Canis uses a Geass Scroll to formalize a secret arrangement under which Theodore appraises artifacts and cursed objects in exchange for items he can consume. When Bergen's underworld begins cooperating with Austen slavers, Canis decides to flee rather than share the organization's fate. Caught following Theodore and Vince Haidel, he negotiates another geas: information on the slavers in return for a new identity and help escaping. He maps their camp, patrols, guards, and prisoners, gives Theodore the remaining stock in his shop as an advance, and leaves to summon Bergen's soldiers with Veronica's authority. Marriage, Armageddon, and the New World

Shortly before the final crisis, Theodore visits Canis among the people from his past. Canis says that he is living well thanks to Theodore and treats the former academy student as the hero he has become.
