Keeping Melissa's laboratory running

Rosie moves from an early administrative role into sustained laboratory work beside Melissa, cleaning the workspace, organizing papers and reagents, answering communications, and counting failed samples while inventions pile up around them. She worries openly when Melissa overworks and continues supporting her through later crises rather than disappearing after a single project. Her durability is often played comically—Melissa's rare singing is frightening enough to make Rosie worry about the glass—but the joke rests on a genuine, long-established working trust.
