Blood Spirit Golden Pearl

The Blood Spirit Golden Pearl is a crimson-gold natural treasure produced only by Blood Spirit Star on the border of Flame Wind Ancient Country and Thunder Ancient Country. Its principal demonstrated importance is institutional rather than medicinal or martial: fresh pearls are one subtask in the Heavenly Task used to rank Emperor Chu's first-class marquises, and Luo Feng's monopoly of successive eruptions gives Emperor Chu Yu an overwhelming first-place result. History

A contested border eruption

Blood Spirit Star normally erupts two or three times per era, first releasing liquid-like flame and then pearls carried within that outflow. Because the imperial task lasts one era and requires every pearl to reach Chu Capital within ten days of birth, competitors must seize the objects immediately and transport them rather than accumulate them at leisure. The border location also creates a political limit: Godly Kings do not intervene because escalating a Primal Chaos Realm contest into war between the ancient countries would be disproportionate. Chu Yu asks Luo Feng to collect on his behalf because Luo is his only ally with a plausible chance against the transcendent Primal Chaos Realm competitors. Great Saint Bi Yun removes pearls by cutting away the surrounding world, the City Lord of Desert Wind uses a massive wind domain, and other contenders conceal themselves or bargain with outside patrons. During the first eruption the pearls are divided among several factions; Desert Wind later sells twelve to the Two Realms Palace for 360 billion Cosmic Sand, establishing a transaction value of thirty billion each in that deal. Luo Feng's monopoly and delivery

By the second eruption, Luo Feng has trapped or driven away every serious rival and spreads his Black River World over Blood Spirit Star. He collects nine pearls at the end of one confrontation and seventy-two across the full second eruption, then sends them to Chu Capital by avatar. Together with the nine already delivered, Chu Yu holds eighty-one—more than three times the twenty-five held by the next-ranked marquis. Chu Yu suggests selling any later pearls for twenty to thirty billion Cosmic Sand each, but Luo refuses because even a large sale is less valuable than securing his friend's overall Heavenly Task result. Blood Spirit Star erupts a third time before the task deadline, and Luo Feng's guarding avatar collects another fifty-three pearls without opposition. He sells none to the other marquises, leaving Chu Yu indisputably first in the subtask and helping him finish among the Heavenly Task's top three overall. Abilities and properties

• Blood Spirit Golden Pearls form naturally inside Blood Spirit Star's eruptions and emerge mixed with liquid flame. The star usually has two or three eruption periods per era, with advance signs before each one. (Chapters 1631–1632)
• A fresh pearl has a strict ten-day delivery window for the Heavenly Task. After ten days it becomes a Blood Spirit Poison Pearl, no longer counts for merit, and is considered useless by the competitors; the corpus does not describe the poison's effects. (Chapters 1628 and 1634)
