Biography

Recruiting Luo Feng

Yang Hui reviews Luo Feng's record, recognizes both his talent and the effort behind his progress, and helps secure his chance at the elite camp. He explains archaeological ruins and the camp's competitive resource system, supervises Luo Feng's entry testing, and brings him to Jiang-Nan Pagoda. His practical guidance introduces Luo Feng to the institution that accelerates his growth. Yang Hui later remains among the camp teachers who meet Luo Feng and treats him to a meal after Luo Feng has risen to prominence. (Chapters 103–116 and 170–171)

Appearance and personality

Although over fifty, Yang Hui looks roughly thirty and is described as a middle-aged man. He is observant, frank about the camp's pressures, lightly teasing with Zhou Zheng Yong, and generous toward the recruit he sponsors. (Chapters 103–108, 113, and 171)
