Wei Yang Palace Master

Wei Yang Palace Master is the preeminent military and political power of Yulan City before Luo Feng's rise there. His physical body, formation mastery, and control of the city's largest faction make him central to its defenses, but his pursuit of resources and indirect profits also brings him into conflict with Luo Feng shortly before an infiltrating Primordial Life coalition kills him. (Chapters 1788 and 1824–1828)

Biography

Strongest pillar of Yulan City

Wei Yang is initially ranked first among Yulan City's Divine Emperors and described as a long-established Half Primordial Level Enlightened expert. His physical body can kill a Perfect-Level Low-Level Primordial Life alone, while a formation he leads can besiege an entire tribe. Nearly one hundred elders align with him, and organizations such as the Insect Nest, Shadow Tower, and Deceit Workshop serve his faction, giving him both the city's largest power bloc and a reputation for using theft, plunder, and trade to gather resources. (Chapter 1788)

When Yuan Xiang transfers command of the Heaven Patrol Palace to Luo Feng, Wei Yang resists because the office's possession screenings generate a continual flow of profit for his faction. He summons Luo Feng, demands his resignation, and tests him with a thread of Black Sun Fire; Luo Feng withstands it and refuses. Wei Yang's condescension rests on real strategic importance—his formations are integral to the citywide defense—but Luo Feng concludes that Wei Yang has stopped striving after long stagnation at Half Primordial level and now values control and easy resources above further cultivation. (Chapters 1824–1826)

Assassination and the loss of the city's defender

During the Primordial Life assault, Wei Yang coordinates Yulan City's formations until a Super Limit Enchanting Heart Worm and twelve leader True Bodies penetrate his cave mansion. Two unnamed soul-protection treasures reduce their spiritual assault by seventy to eighty percent, and other elders use the city formation to aid him, yet the remaining force overwhelms every one of his five known Nine Rivers Sacred Realm avatars within three breaths. The Worm King then possesses his durable body, and observers confirm through causality that Wei Yang himself is dead. (Chapters 1827–1829)

His fall immediately removes the figure most important to Yulan City's defensive system and raises the estimated chance of the city's collapse above fifty percent. Later comparisons preserve his reputation: only Wei Yang or Gai Tao was thought capable of destroying an entire infiltrator squad in one move, Half Primordial experts of his class are noted for carrying powerful Secret Treasures, and Yuan Xiang continues to use him as a benchmark for exceptional potential. These are posthumous assessments, not evidence that Wei Yang survived the destruction of his avatars. (Chapters 1830, 1851, and 1922)

Appearance and personality

Wei Yang has a sculpted, statue-like body and an almost emotionless face, resembling a puppet except for profound eyes that seem to contain infinite worlds. He is patient and calculating when monitoring threats, but arrogant in direct confrontation and deeply possessive of Yulan City, which he treats as his domain. The narrative depicts him as selfish and ruthless rather than cowardly: he profits from predatory subordinates, yet invests so much in the city that its enemies correctly identify him as the defender who must be eliminated first. (Chapters 1823–1825)

Abilities and cultivation

Half Primordial enlightenment

Wei Yang is a Half Primordial Level Enlightened cultivator who has remained at that level for a long time. The designation places him among Yulan City's highest experts, but the corpus does not name the Dao he partially comprehends or show any persistent advancement. His stagnation is narrative context for his focus on resources and authority rather than a loss of his established combat power. (Chapters 1788 and 1826)

Powerful physical body

His body can defeat a Perfect-Level Low-Level Primordial Life in single combat and withstand repeated impacts from six stars of Yulan City's formation with only minor, rapidly healing injuries after the Worm King possesses it. This later feat demonstrates the body's durability, not Wei Yang's continued agency. Outside the city's formations, he believes he can defeat one leader True Body but is doubtful against three, setting a practical limit below the twelve leaders who attack him together. (Chapters 1788, 1827, and 1829)

Formation mastery

Wei Yang's formation skill is the key component of Yulan City's defenses. He can coordinate numerous elders through the citywide array, and an earlier formation-led expedition annihilated a whole Low-Level Primordial Life tribe. Inside Yulan City, the formation gives him some hope of surviving twelve leader True Bodies, but the accompanying Super Limit spiritual specialist bypasses the advantage by attacking his soul. (Chapters 1788, 1825, and 1827–1828)

Black Sun Fire

Wei Yang can project Black Sun Fire and uses a single thread to test Luo Feng during their confrontation. Luo Feng blocks that limited application, after which Wei Yang dismisses the feat as insufficient proof of equality. The supplied scene does not define the fire's origin, maximum output, or interaction with Wei Yang's formations, so its broader mechanics remain unknown. (Chapter 1825)

Soul defenses and avatars

Wei Yang possesses multiple avatars—five within the Nine Rivers Sacred Realm at the time of his death—and carries two powerful Secret Treasures suited to him, each comparable in level to the Undying Heart and Palm World. Together they reduce an overwhelming spiritual attack by seventy to eighty percent, but cannot stop a Super Limit Enchanting Heart Worm supported by twelve leader True Bodies. All five regional avatars die nearly simultaneously, leaving no causal trace of a survivor there. (Chapter 1828)

Relationships

  • Luo Feng: Wei Yang sees Luo Feng as a threat to his control and revenue, tries to force him out of office, and receives open defiance in return.
  • Yuan Xiang Palace Master: A respected senior whose authority Wei Yang cannot casually oppose, even while resenting his decision to elevate Luo Feng.
  • Gai Tao Palace Master: A fellow pillar of Yulan City's defenses who attempts to protect Wei Yang during the assassination.
  • Shadow Tower Master, Insect Nest Master, and Deceit Workshop Master: Subordinate power brokers whose predatory organizations feed resources and influence into Wei Yang's faction.
  • The Worm King: The Super Limit Enchanting Heart Worm that destroys Wei Yang's avatars and then occupies his body.

Items

  • Two unnamed soul-protection Secret Treasures: Personal treasures comparable in level to the Undying Heart and Palm World. They reduce the attackers' spiritual pressure by seventy to eighty percent but fail under the combined Super Limit assault. (Chapter 1828)
