Tai Wo

Tai Wo is the ground-undying captain whose veteran squad accepts Luo Feng during his first outer-region battlefield deployment. He provides practical instruction, holds the team together under attack, and survives because the recruit he knows as Madman possesses strength far beyond an ordinary sector-lord general.

Biography

Captain of the Shattered Stars squad

Tai Wo is the first undying captain to approach Luo Feng and another new sector-lord general at the recruitment base. Rather than pressure them with rank, he introduces his established nine-person team and earns their choice through straightforward veteran hospitality. Once aboard, he warns the newcomers that the flight to Shattered Stars crosses active combat zones and explains the region before arrival, turning two valuable recruits into informed members rather than disposable manpower. (Chapters 755–763)

In the squad's first clashes, Tai Wo scans for enemies, commands formation changes, and personally blocks the strongest opposing undying while his illusionists disrupt lesser fighters. He distributes captured goods and orders checks for hidden undying imprints, showing how survival depends on procedure after victory as much as force during battle. His ordinary scanner and ground-undying strength remain useful but limited beside wealthier or stronger opponents. (Chapters 760–771)

When a flesh-eating undying returns with overwhelming support, Tai Wo recognizes that the squad probably cannot win. He orders everyone to scatter at the first opening so that at least some may live, accepting the captain's responsibility rather than using subordinates to screen his own retreat. Luo Feng then reveals an undying Star-Eating Plant and greater combat ability, reversing the crisis. Tai Wo survives, but the rescue also shows that his team had unknowingly recruited the person who would become its strongest protection. (Chapters 772–776)

Appearance and personality

Tai Wo wears blood-colored armor and has a scaled snake tail. He is sociable and laughs readily in safe moments, yet becomes exacting about vigilance in dangerous space. His despair during the ambush does not make him abandon command; he gives the team its best remaining survival plan. (Chapters 755–773)

Abilities and progression

Tai Wo is a ground undying with a law domain, undying energy, and sufficient close-combat power to hold an enemy undying while teammates act. His scanner costs about 120 mixed elements and can detect some threats, but many undyings possess superior devices. The corpus names no signature technique or later breakthrough and does not show him matching emperor-level power. (Chapters 755, 760, 766–769)

Relationships

• Luo Feng: Tai Wo recruits him as “Madman,” mentors him in battlefield procedure, and is later saved when Luo Feng reveals hidden strength.
