Nai Gu

Nai Gu is a Cultivator Camp Lord who integrates multiple Ancestor bloodlines, giving him an enormous body, broad abilities, and a continual need for powerful biological materials.

Biography

A precarious defense

Nai Gu enters the war as its most openly pessimistic Cultivator Lord, not because he fears a single defeat but because repeated Ancestor assaults may eventually collapse the camp and expose its world groups. Luo Feng's arrival changes that calculation: his restorative domain can rebuild Nai Gu's large body repeatedly, and during the decisive confrontation Nai Gu uses a nine-headed form to devour the Ancestors' combined power until his body fragments. Luo Feng takes over before he is destroyed, allowing the Lords to turn attrition against their attackers. (Chapters 1887, 1891, 1893–1894, and 1901–1903)

Resources, territory, and strength

Victory makes Nai Gu an advocate for expansion. He argues that eight thousand world groups better match the strengthened camp and that compromise had failed when weakness merely encouraged others to uproot the Cultivators. His position remains self-interested: Ancestor corpses are necessary materials for his Primordial Bloodline Dao, and he believes weaker life should serve stronger cultivation. Despite clashing with Ming Huang and Luo Feng over this principle, he continues supporting the camp whose collective defense makes his own path possible. (Chapters 1903–1904, 1952, and 1983)

Appearance and personality

Nai Gu has deep green skin and can assume a colossal form with nine massive heads. He is analytical, anxious about unsustainable risk, and unapologetically committed to survival of the strongest; success quickly turns his caution into appetite for territory. (Chapters 1887, 1901, 1904, and 1952)

Primordial Bloodline Dao

Nai Gu is the only known bloodline-path cultivator to become a Lord. Before escaping the Braided Cage he comprehends 397 World-level Primordial Bloodlines; as a Lord he integrates multiple Ancestor-level bloodlines into himself, gaining new strength with each one mastered. The path is theoretically open-ended but depends on rare Ancestor bloodline materials, and even Nai Gu cannot extract a complete Ancestor-level bloodline from every source. Nine-headed body and broad techniques

His integrated bloodlines produce the second-largest body among the seven original Lords and give him many kinds of techniques. In his nine-headed form he actively devours incoming power and rapidly regenerates surface damage, making him a secondary shield beside Wulan. The combined attack of more than seventy Ancestors still fragments him within one breath, showing that breadth and vitality do not equal unlimited defense. (Chapters 1890, 1893, 1895, and 1901)

Relationships

• Luo Feng: Luo Feng restores Nai Gu's vast energy reserves and eventually replaces him at the front of the Ancestors' assault; Nai Gu supports the expansion enabled by Luo Feng's strength.
• Wulan: The camp's primary defender, whom Nai Gu supports by absorbing external power before Luo Feng becomes a Lord.
• Ming Huang: A fellow Lord who rejects Nai Gu's view that weaker lives exist as cultivation resources.
• Jin: A political ally within the Lords' council who generally shares Nai Gu's strength-first outlook.
