Jiang Nian

Jiang Nian is the master of the Zhi-An region Dojo of Limits and Luo Feng's first formal fighter instructor.

Biography

Recognizing Luo Feng's talent

Jiang Nian sees Luo Feng reach the prospective-fighter threshold and urges him not to bury his rapid progress in an ordinary university path. He praises Luo Feng's practical combat ability, teaches foundational principles about technique and Dao-Yin training, and is astonished when Luo Feng's strength rises dramatically in only days. Jiang Nian then travels to report the discovery through the Dojo hierarchy. Years later he is invited onto the stage at Luo Feng's investigator ceremony as the local instructor who first trained him. Appearance and personality

Jiang Nian is a bald middle-aged man who holds the greatest local authority in his dojo. He is earnest about talent, skeptical of empty imitation, and visibly proud but nervous when his former student publicly honors him. (Chapters 8–13 and 205)
