Seeking a path past accumulation
Dragon Nine is introduced as a peak Dark Sacred Realm figure whose three-and-a-half Half Primordial paths place him beside world-bloodline cultivator Divine Emperor Ji Ke at the top of public rankings. Despite that reputation, he continues seeking instruction and asks Luo Feng how to comprehend a Dao for which one lacks talent. Luo Feng answers that no shortcut exists beyond accumulating enough experience; Dragon Nine accepts the rebuke and remains at the gathering rather than defending his status. (Chapters 1849 and 1864)
When Luo Feng completes the Half Primordial Life and Death Dao and battles the Primordial Prisoner, Dragon Nine and Ji Ke hurry to observe.
