Di Xi

Di Xi is one of the thirteen Emperors of the Flame Wind Ancient Country and the spouse and longstanding ally of Di Yan.

Biography

Imperial faction and death

Di Xi habitually acts with Di Yan and Di Wu, a treasure-rich trio described as second only to Emperor Qing when fighting together. Their enmity with Emperor Chu draws Di Xi into opposition to Luo Feng, including a vote to strip Luo of his Guest Elder status. Even so, Di Xi counsels against angering the Primogenitor when the imperial faction debates how to answer Luo's increasingly dominant position. (Chapters 1718–1720 and 1738)

After Luo Feng becomes ruler of the Land of Origin, he characterizes his disputes with Di Yan and Di Xi as minor and asks only that they be expelled, reserving a death judgment for Di Wu. Primogenitor Yan Feng decides more harshly: an invisible wind passes through Di Xi and Di Wu, extinguishing their consciousness. Di Xi dies furious that the Primogenitor has sided with Luo, and the death helps intimidate other Emperor-level powers into obeying the new rules. (Chapters 1772 and 1775)

Appearance and personality

No distinctive physical description is supplied. Di Xi is old, formidable, and tightly bound to the interests of the three-Emperor faction, yet is also more cautious than its most aggressive members when defying an overwhelming authority.
