Darkness Master
Darkness Master is one of Teacher Origin's top disciples and, for much of his career, humanity's deliberately concealed combat asset. The original-universe powers do not even know that the feared Universe Ocean fighter belongs to the human race, but Luo Feng's promotion brings Darkness into the visible senior council. After Huge Axe's death, he becomes one of the principal commanders defending humanity, uses Black Prison Tower to cripple and capture enemy Universe Masters, and eventually advances to True God as Darkness True God. (Chapters 1129, 1262, 1267–1273, 1409, and 1485)
Biography
The hidden disciple enters humanity's council
When Luo Feng joins the Virtual Universe Company's Universe Masters, Primal Chaos City Leader reveals Darkness Master as a fellow disciple who rarely handles public affairs and whose human identity is unknown even to the powers that fear him in Universe Ocean. Darkness attends the gathering because a new senior has joined their branch, accepts Luo Feng's greeting as his martial nephew, and tests the scale of Luo Feng's Remote Ocean body before giving rare praise. His appearance converts him from a secret name into a participant in the company's ruling circle without ending the low-profile habits that made him strategically valuable. (Chapters 1129 and 1130)
Darkness also becomes Luo Feng's principal narrator for Teacher Origin's fate. At the virtual universe's land of origin, his usual sinister presence gives way to a disciple's reverence; he bows before the sculpture and then explains that Teacher Origin survived his confrontation with the universe origin, remains suppressed, and still sustains the virtual universe. The explanation is colored by devotion, but it gives Luo Feng the practical history behind the institution he has joined and establishes Darkness's strongest personal loyalty before later wars test it. (Chapters 1131 and 1132)
Black Prison Tower and the first race-war battle
After Huge Axe dies, humanity needs field leaders who can survive sealing attempts and strike hard enough to deter a wider coalition. Primal Chaos City Leader and Teacher Origin therefore allocate Black Prison Tower to Darkness Master: although his general battle power is slightly below Primal Chaos City Leader's, his attack style can draw more offensive value from the supreme palace treasure. Darkness initially tries to object, but accepts the assignment and command of Qing Dong Master's team when the race's survival makes personal reluctance irrelevant. He, Luo Feng, and Peng Gong Master become the three outward-facing pillars while Primal Chaos City Leader guards the final refuge. (Chapters 1261, 1262, 1265, and 1266)
In the opening battle against Dream Demon Ancestor's army, Darkness expands Black Prison Tower to confront the True God and releases “Sinking into the Darkness,” a wide-area influence that weakens the will, fighting spirit, and effective power of twelve demon Universe Masters. Combined with Luo Feng's restrictive domain, the technique reduces much of the enemy group to a fraction of its normal strength. Darkness then waits for Luo Feng's attack to injure and disorder them before activating the tower's swallowing force, capturing Sky Wolf Master and Ink Scepter Master. One demon Universe Master is killed and two are imprisoned in this exchange, meeting humanity's immediate objective of making lesser powers fear the price of joining the invasion. (Chapters 1267–1271)
When Shock Demon Ancestor arrives, Darkness does not mistake the successful capture for a complete victory. He helps test the two demon True Gods' limits, shields the human Universe Masters with Black Prison Tower, and coordinates the false retreat and Boat of Mausoleum trap with Luo Feng and Peng Gong. The resulting battle leaves the demon race with six effective Universe Master losses and protects the human force inside the supreme palace treasure. Darkness's once-secret affiliation is exposed, but the consequence is strategically favorable: the enemy now knows humanity possesses another sixth-tier-at-the-top fighter rather than an isolated hidden wanderer. (Chapters 1272 and 1273)
From uncompromising strategist to Darkness True God
Once the united forces collapse and five former pinnacle races begin abandoning their territories, Darkness participates openly in humanity's policy debate. He argues that the appearance of even insignificant revenge attacks proves the defeated powers' enduring hostility and urges the council to remove future threats. The council ultimately chooses expansion into the vacated core territories, beginning an era of human dominance. This scene shows his development from a concealed specialist into a senior voice willing to frame the security policy of a civilization that no longer needs to hide him. (Chapter 1407)
In the 1,910,000th era, Darkness achieves the breakthrough long expected of him and becomes the human race's third True God, taking the title Darkness True God. During Morosa's later attack on Teacher Origin's miniature universe, his loyalty remains the motive that drives his action: he enlarges his cloak into a region of darkness to bind the Sector Beast's divided bodies and joins the other True Gods' rescue. The attempt cannot hold Morosa permanently, but it consumes part of the beast's strength and helps force it away until Luo Feng returns. Darkness remains alive at the end of the corpus and joins the party seeing Luo Feng and Teacher Origin off at Tilted Peak Sector. (Chapters 1409, 1446, 1447, and 1485)
Appearance and personality
Darkness Master appears as a bald man with jade-like skin, complex black markings across his head, a black outer coat, and silver-and-black armor. His gaze is compared to a snake's, and his arrival distorts the surrounding atmosphere with a dark, wicked pressure. This presentation deliberately opposes Primal Chaos City Leader's tranquil presence, even though the two are fellow disciples of similar power. (Chapters 1129 and 1130)
He is aloof, secretive, and rarely visible in ordinary human affairs, but not indifferent to his own lineage or race. He smiles rarely, attempts to decline Black Prison Tower before accepting the wartime need, and speaks of Teacher Origin with childlike reverence rather than his usual menace. In battle he is patient enough to hold back his main attack until Luo Feng creates an opening, while in policy he favors eliminating threats before resentment can grow. His restraint is therefore tactical, not softness. (Chapters 1129–1131, 1262, 1268–1271, and 1407)
Abilities and progression
- Rank and combat standing: At his introduction, Darkness is a top-tier Universe Master whose gene level, techniques, and treasures are all described as highly developed. Primal Chaos City Leader judges their power comparable, though Darkness is slightly weaker in general warfare. With Black Prison Tower he reaches the sixth tier at the top, the original universe's permitted ceiling. Much later he makes an explicit cultivation breakthrough and becomes Darkness True God; the corpus does not show him advancing beyond True God. (Chapters 1129, 1132, 1262, 1271, and 1409)
- Flow of Illusion: Darkness's gaze unconsciously penetrates the mind and draws observers toward an illusion. The effect operates even when everyone knows it is present, and Primal Chaos City Leader suppresses the atmosphere around Luo Feng during their first meeting. The source establishes the mental influence but does not explain whether it is innate, continuously trained, or maintained through a separate technique. (Chapter 1130)
- Sinking into the Darkness: While controlling Black Prison Tower, Darkness releases black engraved ripples that pass through armor and affect the targets' souls, will, and fighting spirit. Against twelve demon Universe Masters it is an area technique rather than a full one-target illusion, so it weakens them without making all of them completely sink. This is equipment-assisted power: its demonstrated battlefield form originates from the tower's engravings and combines especially well with an external restrictive domain. (Chapters 1267 and 1268)
- Black Prison Tower: The supreme palace-type treasure supplies offense, defense, sealing, and transport. Darkness can enlarge it to light-year scale, strike True Gods with it, shelter allied Universe Masters, and create a swallowing abyss strong enough to imprison weakened Universe Masters and cut off their teleportation and god-country transport. Its master-recognition requirement also demands a Universe Master possess a Universe Supreme Master's will. Darkness's capture feats therefore depend on both his own control and the tower's properties. (Chapters 1261–1273)
- True God darkness field: Against Morosa, Darkness True God enlarges his cloak into what the narration calls endless darkness and uses it to cover the Sector Beast's ninety-nine bodies. The passage does not identify the cloak as a named treasure or explain whether the darkness is an equipment function or a cultivated technique, so its mechanics remain unresolved. (Chapter 1446)
- Command and coordination: Darkness leads Qing Dong Master's wartime team, synchronizes mental suppression with Luo Feng's domain, delays Black Prison Tower's capture until enemy bodies are injured, and later coordinates the staged withdrawal used to expose the demon force. These are trained tactical and institutional abilities rather than independent supernatural powers. (Chapters 1265–1273)
Power progression
| Stage / Realm / Ability | Chapter(s) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Top-tier Universe Master | By 1130 | At introduction, his developed genes, techniques, illusion ability, and treasures put him near Primal Chaos City Leader's Universe-Master combat level. |
| True God | 1410 | The 1,910,000th era records his explicit breakthrough; later darkness-field use against Morosa belongs to this rank. |
Relationships
- Teacher Origin: Darkness is Teacher Origin's low-profile disciple and treats him with absolute reverence. He explains the teacher's suppression to Luo Feng, accepts Teacher Origin's wartime allocation, and later risks himself against Morosa while shouting that the Sector Beast must not harm his teacher. (Chapters 1129–1131, 1262, and 1446)
- Primal Chaos City Leader: The two call one another brother because they share Teacher Origin's lineage, not because the corpus establishes a biological relationship. Primal Chaos City Leader publicly leads their branch, trusts Darkness as a comparable fighter, and assigns him the attack role and Black Prison Tower while retaining responsibility for humanity's final defense. (Chapters 1129, 1130, 1261, and 1262)
- Luo Feng: Darkness is introduced as Luo Feng's teacher-uncle. Initial curiosity about Luo Feng's enormous Remote Ocean body becomes respect, and the two later fight as complementary commanders: Luo Feng restricts and injures enemy groups while Darkness weakens and seals them. Darkness also accepts Luo Feng's judgment during their staged retreat. (Chapters 1130, 1267–1273)
- Remote Lord Master: Remote Lord Master is Darkness's disciple and has himself reached Universe Master. His existence is part of the friendly comparison between Darkness's lineage and Primal Chaos City Leader's after Luo Feng rises. (Chapter 1129)
- Peng Gong Master: Peng Gong and Darkness receive complementary supreme treasures and serve beside Luo Feng as humanity's three principal field powers after Huge Axe's death. Their coordinated attacks and willingness to follow Luo Feng's trap turn the first demon battle into a deterrent victory. (Chapters 1262 and 1267–1273)
